It doesn't go to any folder, it is copied to the clipboard. You must save it using a program like paint first.

Have fun...

I have had many problems with the snapshot deal. I have tried to take a snapshot, and it has not worked for me. Which button do I press? I have pressed a large number of buttons. From tab to enter. I still don't understand if I am doing it right.

The other day, when I tried doing this, my computer made me log out and the computer froze. After restarting my computer and going back into Illarion, I found myself in a differant location, with all my items back in my inventory that I already sold. Well, so I thought. Can someone please help? Thanks,

-Randelf

About taking screenshots, the button to press is the "PrintScrn" (Print Screen) above the arrow keys. After you do that, the picture will be copied to the clipboard. You will have to paste (Ctrl + V) the picture into paint and then save it. If you try to copy any other pictures between that time, you will lose the screenshot you took.

I call this "The Beginner's Guide to Screenshots" ;)

About the second point, the server probably went down for a moment, causing you to get booted. Since there was no chance to save your progress when the server crashed, you started back at the place you had logged off last time, with the same inventory, etc.

Don't stay on for long periods (or even short ones when you have done alot) :D

Hello. I have taken many screenshots in the past. I was wondering if anyone knew how to upload a screenshot onto a website. Could you use HTML?

If you haven't experience with HTML just upload the screenshots to your webspace (e.g. www.mywebspace.com/~user/)

Then just call "http://www.mywebspace.com/~user/screenshot1.jpg" at your web browser depending on the name of your uploaded pics.

Now, when I want to post my small snapshot, all the white from the background shows up. Can someone please tell me how to get just the picture, and not the large white background with it?

i think that's just something you do in paint, or photoshop or whatever editing program you're using. You can make the canvas itself smaller so that it is just big enough for the snapshot and no extra white background. I don't know why else there would be so much extra background... It seems like a no brainer, but I could be wrong...

The white background in th screenshot you posted yesterday was nothing with the image, it was just that the image was a lot smaller then the screen and the area around the image was white.

I am also having problems. I am trying to get my image to not show a white background. I am using Microsoft Paint. I only want a small little image, instead everytime I try to upload my image, it shows the whole background. Say there were a flame near me, and I wanted JUST an image of the flame. I hit the print screen button, paste it into Microsoft Paint, and erase everything but the flame. So now, there is a white background, and a small image of a flame. When I try to upload this, it shows the entire white background and the small image of the flame.

All the white area you see in paint will show up when you save it. Paint is a WYSIWYG type program. You will have to resize the drawing area so that it is only as big as the flame.

Select the flame (and not too many of the white area) and copy it.
Then select image->attributes from the menu and reduce the size of the image.
Then paste the flame again. This way you have less white area.
If you want to have no white area, you have to use another program (that supports GIF graphics and transparency). Maybe the last option in the images menu (don't know how it is called in english, in german it is "deckend zeichnen") can help you, when you save to a GIF image.
