Hi,

i`m experiencing heavy lags.. making the game almost unplayable. Mostly in the evening.
It is no fun experiencing illarion this way.

Also the Website seems sometimes to have the same Problem.

Any Plans to address this issues ?
Maybe the Server is overloaded? Does this run on a Virtual Server ?

I had similar problems on my own server some months ago, the dns server of my hoster was slow.
switched it to google dns and website / services lag was gone.

I`m not the only Player who has this Problem.
It does not seem that the connection is the issue.

there was a development-thingy going on around that time, I think. That will likely be the cause of TODAY's lags.

Oh, I am not a developer myself. I just saw it on the Discord-channel. But I get what you mean, the lags can be annoying at times. However, recently it seems to be better?

Actually its ok, but not 100% lag free.

The server Illarion is hosted on right now is pretty old. The lag issues have generally been due to a lack of RAM on that end.
A solution is being worked on, however it will take time before it is ready. Until then attempts are being made to reduce the lag wherever possible.
Primarily Vilarion, our server dev, is the one working towards that end. If you have any questions, you can always join our discord and ping him @Vilarion in our support channel there.

Now i`m frustrated, progress of hours got lost.

i was logged out, relogged and was back at the state is was on 13:00h.

While it is yet another issue that is being worked on by Vilarion, I'm afraid that currently due to how characters are saved when you log out, this happens from time to time if there is a rollback due to a server crash. Saving your character every few minutes automatically was attempted, but found to simply cause far too much server-wide lag with our current set up.
The only thing you can do to help against it is to relog occasionally, treat it as a manual way of saving your character. It's an inconvenience for sure, but unfortunately the only way until the problem gets fixed once and for all.
If it makes you feel any better though, you're not alone. Most of us have lost dozens of hours of progress in the game due to random crashes causing rollbacks over the years.
