To enlighten the Masses

Post by Dragonlord Atarka »

Dear people of Illarion,

There are consistent complaints about the Rangers as a whole, without direction and without detail. Many folk seem keen to generalize an entire group with baseless accusations. The Sardon has come to resent these words, and has sought to encourage peaceful resolution with officials of the other realms. There are no official complaints handed in, and thus if you have something to report about an individual you are encouraged to do so.

We must not let these generalizations further divide us as a nation or as a group. If the action of an individual is a problem that problem can be handled with evidence and a report to the leader of the Rangers or to the Council. However if you target an entire group of people who serve faithfully with no detail or ability to sufficiently say that the group as a whole is somehow guilty then you are contributing to rising tensions and only making the divide that much more difficult to mend.

You cannot continue to generalize people, this is no different from claiming all orcs are guilty of barbarism. We are individuals, and individuals are responsible for their actions, not whole demographics.

If you are one of these people who continue to generalize groups such as the Rangers then for one, you are not helping yourself. Secondly you're not helping the Rangers identify the problem and fix it, instead you encourage resentment and tension from those of us who serve the realm faithfully and justly. Furthermore you're dividing the very group of people who are here to help your cause for justice.

Think critically, don't let yourselves be pulled from the path of wisdom by an unenlightened majority. If you have evidence or concerns about the actions of an individual then report it and stop blaming an entire group for the actions of one individual.
