How is this going to be enforced?
We even have a GM that has a non-RP name, so...?
I just read that you can't have Dragon + something,
So I was looking over older names, and one caught my eye.
What is going to happen and I think you are safe, person I'm describing ;)

ds, you're not a GM.... or are you just one in disguise?  I think Latha also have a none RPish name for GM's :)

Yes, Bror, you're probably gonna nag me about my, but as I've mentioned.  Name's on the RPG board of my story, and also I'm just a nutcase who go by title, not names :P

I am sure glad I read the popups before the game so I knew what to do... :)  Now I will not be caught up in this fuss :) .  Dragonsoul means that he was the "Dragon+something" name Erdrick was describing...  I think it is a fine name, it may be a nickname that he has.  A name like "John" or "Joe" would be a non-RPG name.

greetings and nice holidays yours cosma

Lol...John is a good name.....there were tons of Johns in medieval England for sure :P
But probably sounds better if Sir or Lord or a last name was added to it.

Hail, almighty Sir Joe!  Sounds magnificent huh? :P

Sir John is better....

And Sir Chaos is not what i was hoping for.  Something that still has the initials LC maybe...

"Sir" in the title was for nobles and such. And i guess that about 80% of all people weren't nobles...
Other thing with elves, dwarves and other races, they would have different structures too.

@Damien:
not exactly right...  first you must be a knight then you can take the official "Sir"  in front of your name .....

Anyways Sir as well as Lord, Master etc. is not part of a name. You should at least start your Character with a NAME and perhaps in a quest you will be given the title of a Sir or whatever.

It is okay to use titles such as "Lord" or "Sir" from the beginning, it builds character.  What would my name sound like if it was simply "Chaos"???

Lord or Sir is something that belongs in the "Title" field, not in the name field.
The fact that "Chaos" without "Lord" doesn't sound like a name should tell you ... that it is an invalid name.

What does the Title box do currently?  If you put a Sir or Lord in there, it doesn't show up, or do anything.  And people can have names that are like objects or things, such as "smith" as a last name or "fog", at least in and around America.  Like "Sir Hope" , hope may be his name, not referring to hope of something happening kind of thing.  I bet that there are also some people with the last name of "Chaos" (although probably changed).  The name is more of something that people refer to you as.  Setheroth is "Seth", Lord Chaos is shortened to "LC".  That is what people know me by in the town.  If it was something like John, people would not call you Lord John, they would just say John.  There is no way you could get everyone to call you one name when the actual is another.  People who really know me well call me LC, which i prefer, but there is no way that I could get everyone to call me that.  It is roleplay because your actual name is a mystery.  Who would name their child "Dipstick" or "Crystal Star"?  It is just a "nickname" or alias.
