Alternate way to accept new accounts

Instead of having to go through the long process
of waiting for emails maybe new players could be
allowed on for a probation period.

At the end of the probation there could be two possibilities.

1)The gamemasters could decide whether or not to
grant an account based on the newbies roll playing.

2)We could make a message board and when the probation
runs out we coul post it on the board and all players vote
on whether or not to accept them based on their
roll playing.

Although this isn't a bad idea i think it would be a little complicated to keep track of all that, when people propose ideas most of them are usually good ideas but they involve a lot of work for the GM's. I believe the email application is working well now and admittedly it takes awhile for them to recieve and email, if it takes the GM's that long just to reply to an email obviously they are pretty busy and i don't think they have the time to organize/keep track off a more complicated system

And if players are patient enough to wait for the e-mail it is a small sign that they are willing to play, which is a bonus to the downside of waiting for an E-mail. And also what if someone made a char but didnt come on for the probation period due to circumstances against their will? They could be a good rper, and they would probably have to send an e-mail off to explain what happened, back to square one :D
