The chat app is not loading. I checked in two browsers, chrome and edge. Neither worked for me. Is this just me? Or do others have same problem now?

The problem I had after the server changes , but it has resolved itself. I did not know what the cause was.

I can get into the chat room, just wont work on the illarion.org site. (cleared my cookies even)

No luck for me either.. tried the chat link on the homepage with firefox ESR and with Chrome also. I can still get in chat using another chat program however (I use chatzilla).

So, in the top right of my browser, in the address bar, it says there are 'unsafe scripts' on the page. If I allow it load those scripts, I get the chat room back.

Probably not the best?

I turned off all security and still no chat but did find this ....Apparently firefox is no longer supporting java which is required for the chat: https://java.com/en/download/help/firefox_java.xml I have ESR but the 64 bit version. I tried IE and it didn't show either but I may have java disabled not using that browser much. The only recommendation I have read so far is to try ESR 32 bit for a year.. or a different browser that allows java, or use a different chat.

Testing Opera which so far I am impressed.. it did have a pop on the upper right that said content blocked and after I allowed, the chat room showed.

Perhaps someone else has a recommendation for Chrome and IE with java also. In searching irc alternatives there are quite a few free ones to test.

Any plans to change irc chat room link and requirements for the future?

IRC works fine in Chrome. Even If you have to do what Vern said.

Tested on chromium and i got the same issue. Generally it would be recommended to use IRC clients if you use IRC regularly. For example you could download Hexchat, it should be easy to use. You can also just select the "load unsafe scrip" or go directly to [url=https://webchat.quakenet.org][ quakenets webchat homepage/url].

Now the issue itself is because the page is using https but tries to get resources via http, which apparently causes issue in chrome atleast. This should be easily fixed but it's nothing dangerous, quakenet shouldn't have any issues with security at the moment.

Chat does not load for me. No matter the browser, be it Opera, Chrome or Firefox. Not even the quakenet page itself is loading.
