Self- and professionally made character pics

Hey guys.
I've been wanting a cool-looking portrait of S'rrt for a while but being poor at creating art I paid my cousin, who is a concept artist, to make a portrait of him instead (he takes commissions, PM me if you're interested). You can see my altered composition below with greener/more textured scales and a different background from the original.
Who else has professionally made portraits for their characters? I know some of you are talented artists yourselves so let's see those original character pics that you've put a lot of effort (and/or money if you didn't make it yourself) into!
To clarify, when I say original, I mean made-from-scratch, not a mishmash of art assets that have been haphazardly put together

I've seen two of those before; they look really good. I can see who's been credited but do you know how those were made? They all look like hand drawings.
Also did you get them for free...?

I had a paid commission made for the whole House of the Sea Serpent.
Artist is
Graey Erb, who does great lizards.
The final results:
Edit:
Almost forgot this one. My little brother made it for me waay back in the pre VBU-times.
I still have it pinned on my wall.

Yours is perfect Caswir, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Since you do want a new one though, have you spoken to anyone who draws as a hobby or professionally?
Q-Wert, that's a cool idea, having someone make art for an IG guild! I was wondering if that pic was originally made when I saw it in the House's thread. The lizards
do look REALLY good!
Wow Djironnyma, you've got lots of art contacts then

Hehe Lia, I like the Tarias-one but the dragon is tiny

Maybe it's a baby dragon.
Did you make those 3D renders yourself?
Edit: Q-Wert, all things considered I think your brother did a good job

And yes i make those renders by myself.

Interesting. If those are from a while ago, you surely must be better now, right? Have you done more 3D renders lately?
Also how did you learn to do them?

I'm sure Drakon will answer this himself but do you know how he made that, Karrock? Did he create the 3D model(s)? I'm assuming that's what someone like Lia or Drakon would do.
If I knew more about 3D animation right now, I'd probably make really jagged and awkward representations of scenes from IG

I don't know how he made it. When I tried to make own picture Titus looked like this (later i used pictures from internet).
Made by me pixel after pixel

Looks like zombie
(My goal was to draw evil character)

He does look like a zombie but the proportions are right at least
I see we've declined from hand/digital drawings to pixel art and jokey pictures. Any more technically impressive works?

I've drawn a good number of pictures Illarion related over the time I've been playing.
Many of them were character pictures. I had more of them, sadly I've either not come around to digitalise them,
or they got lost when I moved (a lot), or I gave them to the person who played the character I had drawn (without first taking a picture or scann it, dumb

).
But I have some of them still saved. I tried to sort them chronologically, the first one smust be around 6 years old or so... I couldn't remember for all of them, but the last ones are very recent.
Some have a very high resolution so I'll just post a link to an album here
http://imgur.com/a/zcima
Edit: I just remembered that I drew that big ass dragon picture back in .. 2010/2011 (?) that was available as a downloadable background on the Illarion homepage.

PO Damien has the original.
It's also an Ingame graphic, a picture frame with a scaled down version of the drawing that hangs here and there, always makes me laugh when I see it ingame.
