This is really odd...

I already tried to contact you people via e-mail and PM but got no answer so far - this is the reason now that I am adressing you people publicly.

due to the change to the e-mail application my character Zerbus has taken a lot of damage! All his skills have been erased (even language skill!!) except blacksmithing, baking and bulbsponge mushroom...

now what I ask of you is to explain to me what happened here - is this repairable? was it an accident? anyways, I would welcome it, if someone could take care of Zerbus as soon as possible... this is another of the reasons i had been away from illarion for so long - it hurts when such a thing happens...

many thanks in advance

There is one ohter person something like this happened to (he lost some items) and we have not found any clues as to why it's happening.

We are talking about a few changes that may fix it, and once it's fixed, you'll be compensated by me.

I found that compensating before somethign is fixed, however, is very frustrating becuase they are compensated, it happens again to them, so I compensate again, it happens again.etc...

Please just be patient.

As to why I didn't anser your PM, I don't answer most PMs. I would prefer if they problems/bugs were posted in techinical support.

Unless it truely is a personal matter.

many thanks - this is information is enough for me just now and its reasonable - the compensational thing sounds like a fair deal to me, though i would rather like just the have to old char back  - just a shame that my char´s skills are lost forever :(

Actually, your skills are not lost forever.

We log issues with saving problems, and I had made it so if there was ever an unknown error saving an item/skill then a log entry would be added stating that skill/item XXX for player YYY had an error.

And it appears that there are a number of these lines in the log files.

We have changed the server code slightly to try to fix this, and if it works out we will put all those items/skill/etc.. back into the players.

Hmmm..

funny thing - my char has lost items, too, but only ones that she was wearing on her - so it was no big deal really. i just wanted to let you know.

Some leather items have turned 'invisible' though Morgaine ...

They havent turned invisible... I think they were erased, leaving a blank spot.. perhaps the specific leather items have disappeared because of remodeling graphics? I dont know...

No, they still "exist" although I'm not sure about the quantity. But If you drag them around you can still move them and put them in your depot and everything and they'll take up spaces even though you can't see the items themselves.

Precisely, but what is more mysterious than the way i spelt the first word of this reply, and also more mysterious than the invisibility, is that, i was right ...

@ Zerbus

Okay.. my problem somewhat resembles this topic...

I downloaded the new patch so I could see my leather armor and stuff.. Well, what happened when I replaced the images.tbl file is all my items were erased, not invisible, erased. I know this because I had a bag left and put it in a spot where something SHOULD have been in my depot... I need some help here... please.. someone help.

@Allraune:

Noo, you can load a Patch for that, I can see them now too.
It's under the new Client-download.
