Chickens

Artimer asks her, “Finding everything all right,” to which she responds that she is but she wishes the chickens gave her more eggs. He explains that she can get eggs from the nests but she prefers her eggs fresh from the hen. She requests more chickens that lay eggs and he tells her that he can’t help her with this.
Deciding to take matters into her own hands, Qoa'tl'quet takes the 24 fresh eggs she collected just that day and decides to try and hatch them herself… but where? She takes off through the town and suddenly decides to look near the water by the fishing hole so she heads south through the gate.
Upon nearing Zerarisa, the helpful lizard kin who taught her how and where to find fish just that day, she spots a lovely water blossom near the shore, which is surely a sign from the Mother! She rushes over, picks it up and slips under the table that is there and a perfect place to hide her nest. Mother is certainly providing for her. Pulling in mud, dirt, leaves, sticks and all sorts of other debris, she builds a large nest underneath the table until she has it sorted out just right, taking her time and getting it just right. Then she carefully lines the bottom with the 24 eggs and looks them over before layering some more mud and dirt over the top of them. Then she spins around in circles as she looks at her work and tries to find a comfortable position to keep her eggs warm and protected.
She watches the road and the water both, keeping vigilant so her chickens are safe. She says a small prayer to the Mother, thanking her for looking out for her and the needs of all.
