Will Ssar'ney resign?

A young orc clips a paper onto the boards inside the Hemp Necktie Inn.
Will Ssar'ney resign?

It seems the victors thought the fighting earlier this day was over a little too early. Having gone to their tavern for drink and celebration they apparently were not aware that a number of their opposition was not sent to Cherga and were regrouping to move back in. There were no scouts at the barricades or on top of the wall. They left their town almost completely unguarded. The first person we encountered was a lizard at the gatehouse depot arranging his items. He was the one who had to yell to the celebrators inside.

Having heard the alarm of an invasion the tavern was emptied. That is a lie, I apologize. There was one person left inside that tavern that did not come out. They happened to be Rosaline, Elder of the House Edwards and Queen of the Desert Realm. Not one soul amongst the House of the Sea Serpent or their allies thought to stay behind and safeguard The Chosen One. Baron Ssar'ney, Marshall and leader of their battle effort, did not assign a protector, or have the Queen escorted to a safer place having just heard the call of imminent invasion. She was just left there.

And so Rosaline sat in that tavern sipping wine before the blood of her subjects had yet dried. Me and my cohort were inside Cadomyr as chaos erupted. Ssar'ney led his forces essentially right past us and went to the gate to block it. Small skirmishing occurred and it took them a bizarre amount of time before they realized I was even in the city. I went through the tavern multiple times, the Queen did not seem to notice. Eventually I engaged Lyrica and then finally others noticed.

Realizing we were essentially trapped the only way to clear a path out was to make a distraction. I entered the tavern and engaged Rosaline who had a sword laying against her chair. She was still completely unguarded. Lyrica and S'rrt eventually followed in. Someone began to scream that the Queen was under threat in the tavern. The distraction was complete and Ssar'ney had almost all of his men leave the gate and come inside.

In the confusion of a large group I was able to slip into the gatehouse and out. The defenders made no effort to slow any possible retreat, all the doors were wide open and unguarded. Ssar'ney left one person at the barricade to block my escape, an amateur, a female of his House I believe. I threw her aside rather quickly and simply walked out the same way I walked in.

If you read this of events without bias you will see at least three different areas demonstrating poor leadership and potentially deadly incompetence. I have no grievance with Rosaline and did what I needed to in the moment. If I were a vile enemy, an assassin or a demon or some ungoldy follower of the Bone Lord, then we would now be discussing the time and place of Rosaline's funeral.

Ssar'ney was once again embarrassed by a superior, smarter male. This has confirmed my suspicions that he is a very stupid and incompetent person. If he is a true believer in the things he says then he will accept that he committed an egregious crime of incompetence against the Holy Order of the world. In any other kingdom he would resign, or worse, for what was allowed to happen under his watch. Will he resign? That would fix many more problems than just the ones I have described to you.

You can find it good to have crushed a weakened , wounded warriors .

And it's a lie that no one was guarding the gate .
I stood at the gate and was attacked by your sneaky shooter . Next to me stood a respectable citizens who had nothing to do with the war , but you did not care .

And no Sarney will not resign. Why should he ? Because of your lies ?

Walking to the board of the Necktie, the not so smart Riniao looks over the various writings. While actually looking fo some parchments with nice drwaings, he notices one very long parchment with a lot of letters on it. He rubs his nose and tries to read it. After the first few sentences, he takes a chunck of coal from his bag and writes some hardly readable words below: "Too long to read"
