Destruction of the altar of blood

The House of the Sea Serpent successfully lead the attack against the temple of the fallen God that plagued the Kantabi Desert, leaving the ruins to be washed to sand by the Old Gods. Prior to this feat, Zelphyra, priestess of Zelphia, hailing from Oceanpearl and newly found member of the third house, held a mass to the Goddess to bless the attacking forces. During the preparations for the mass Zelphia blessed the House with a holy battlestaff for the Houses successful dedication of fulfilling the Mothers will.

It was said that hundreds upon hundreds of foul creatures including blood orcs, all types of animated skeletons and undead were slain by the powerful and honourable defenders of the realm in their wake. When it came to finally destroying the altar with Knight Exelous's mighty dwarven hammer, witnesses told of a giant black dragon bursting from the shattered altar for a final push in its defense.

Needless to say, the guardians of Cadomyr came out more than triumphant with the exception of a minority of casualties.

Taking it to Akaltut

The expedition into the chambers of Akaltut, lead by the House of the Desert Fox, was a success. Many drow were slain in what was a great step in taking the fight to the monstrosity, Akaltut.

Guardians from all over the realm of Cadomyr attended to aid in the ongoing battle as well as honourable warriors such as the flame orc, Rakaya, from Runewick.

Utmost gratitude goes to Shiba of Runewick for providing potions for the expedition. It is said to be highly recommend for people to purchase potions from her as they are of excellent quality.

Victory was had that day, however, the fight against Akaltut and her minions continues.

Return of the Fire Demon

There has been much speculation as of late as to the cause of the strong earthquake that woke the people of Cadomyr In the very early morning hours of the 4th of Ushos. Despite the unhelpful cries of heretics, the Cadomyr Herald can confirm that the tremour was caused by none other than the infamous Fire Demon. This unholy creature that was once thought to be slain, appears to be roaming the realm once again. It is said that the Fire Demon approached a guardian of the realm in a disgusting bid to retrieve his soul.

Investigations are ongoing. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and contact the proper authorities in the case of witnessing any unusual occurrences.

Praise Be

Zelphia Mass

Zelphyra, the priestess of Zelphia, held a mass on 19. Ronas 46 at the shrine of Tanora in Cadomyr. The mass was about the life of the Firstborn, Ushak-Skath.

The mass was held in the old language, however new language speakers who attended were welcomed with open arms and advised to bring a translator with them.

People of Cadomyr join the Herald in extended our utmost gratitude to the priestess of the third house and hope to witness and attend more of the gifted child of Zelphia's wise musings.

Malachin Mass

Following the Zelphia Mass the The House of the Sea Serpent fully intends to hold one in honour of the God of honourable battle and hunting, Malachin. It is advised that all citizens of the realm attend to show our loyalty to the great God who has watched over our peoples in these dark times. The time and date for the Mass will be announced soon.

Upcoming Events

Immolation Festival

Soon the month of Bras is upon us, and the House of the Desert Fox is taking this opportunity to spread some light among our citizen, by hosting a festival here in Cadomyr. Both citizen and friends of Cadomyr alike are welcome to attend this. Aside from the traditional respects given to Brágon, contests will be held during said festival.

One contest will be for cooking, where the topic will of course be grilling. The people gathered will taste and judge for themselves the food of any chefs that wish to attend this contest. There will be no entry fee but the food you bring to serve people. The victor will be announced at a later date.

The second contest will be for entertainers, where the nobles present will be the judges. Any type of entertainer may partake, be they jugglers, tricksters or bards. Again, no entry fee but entertaining the people gathered with your talents.

Both contests will award prizes including but not limited to magical gems.

The festival is likely to be held at the 19th of Bras, and will be held at the Cadomyrian marketplace. ((7th August 19:00CET ))
It is possible that the date will change to an earlier day, should something arise.

Arms Practices

Training at arms as usual will be held at midday of the 16th of Eldas ((14th August 20:00GMT+2 )) and midday of the 13th of Irmas ((21st August 20:00GMT+2 )). Attendance is mandatory for every Cadomyrian not part of a House, citizens of the Realm of Runewick are welcome to join in.

Practice weapons as well as food are provided by the House of the Sea Serpent.

Tourney of Archers

The House of the Sea Serpent will hold the second tourney of archers at the hightest sun of the 16th of Malas ((30th August 20:00GMT+2 )). The procedure will be similar, but not equal to the last tourney oft he same manner held by the House.

The shooting match will, just as last time, take place in the practice hall. There will be three rounds. Each attendee may repeat their shot once each round, although the second shot overrules the first. Every attendee may bring their own bow and munition to the competition.

The attendee with the most rounds won wins the shooting match. In case of a tie, a fourth round between the best archers will determine the victor.

Members of the House of the Sea Serpent are excluded from this tournament as they will act as judges. In difference to the previous small tourney, there is no need to enlist for participation.

High Council

The House of the Sea Serpent is proud to have the honour of hosting yet another High Council at the 22th of Malas ((1st September 20:00GMT+2 )) for the Noble Houses to listen to concerns and petitions of the realm's citizens.

Upcoming Expeditions

The Depths of Mount Letma

A new expedition will take place on the 4th of Eldas 46 ((10th August 20:00GMT+2)), and will be held by the House of the Desert Fox.

The expedition will lead into the depths of mount Letma, to face the golems and monsters that reside there. The aim is to retaliate upon them for preying on our citizens and innocent travelers.

All Cadomyrian citizen and friends of Cadomyr are welcome to join in on this expedition, as long as you are ready to fight and aware of the risks involved when facing these creatures.

Attack on the Blood Cult

The House of the Sea Serpent will lead an expedition to round up and execute a cult of the Fallen God. The attack will include a good portion of making way through hostile territory, carrying firewood, oil and descending into caves deep. As those demanding respect of that despicable deity apparently are keeping keen eye on the Cadomyrian activities, battle plan an target location will be made known to the commanders only.

The expedition will gather at the late morning of the 22th of Eldas ((16th August 19:00GMT+2)), in front of the Cadomyrian gates.

Hunt for Malachin

At the 10th of Malas ((28th August, time TBA)) an expedition in honor of Malachín will be held by
the House of the Desert Fox.

The expedition will be a treasure hunt, where several treasures will be uncovered and their guardians fought.

The treasures will then be auctioned off to everyone who took part in the hunt, and what remains in the end, be it gold or items will be donated to the treasury of Cadomyr in the name of Malachín.

As usual, both citizen and friends of Cadomyr are more than welcome to attend.
Leads will be provided by the house, although anyone who attends are more than welcome to donate their own leads if they wish to.

Faith Equals Strength

Blood Cult Eradicated

Once again the brave warriors of Cadomyr successfully lead the fight against the darkness. Lead by the third house, the guardians of the desert realm marched onward to vanquish the evil that took refuge in the fallen temple of Tanora, located near the elven bandit camp. It is said that the fighters first offered for the cultists to raise from their dwelling beneath the well of their own accord and surrender. However, when the cultists in their arrogance refused the peaceful resolution, the small Cadomyrian army split in to two units: the first unit descending with ropes down the well to take the fight to the cultists, whilst the second remained above the surface to seal the well and avoid any possibility of an ambush.

After a brief skirmish, the first unit marched on to the defaced altar (that by such time had been found to be used to worship the bone lord). Zelphyra, priestess of Zelphia, aided by the warriors present, began her words of prayer in a bid to banish the darkness that dwelled there. It was not long until the bone lord would summon more minions of the hells which lead to a large battle with demons of all shades and sizes.

The battle ultimately lead to the warriors evacuating by a safe passage portal after igniting the altar and it's surrounding area in Bragons flames. It is reported that the second unit, lead by Baron and Temple warrior Ssar'ney, as well as ambassador S'rrt K'shire, held off cultist opposition on the surface and sealed the well successfully.

The battle ended with no casualties. The fight against the forces of evil continues.

Holy Days

Immolation Festival Aftermath

The people of Cadomyr celebrated with food and entertainment at the recent Immolation festival in honour the elder god, Bragon, god of fire.

The event began with a ceremonial lighting of candles for Bragon, that were then sent down stream and carried by Zelphia's waters in a solemn display of gratitude to the Elder god.

Entertainment
Victor of the entertainers contest was Ambassador S'rrt K'shire, both for his talents as a bard and as a knife juggler.
Runner up was the Cadomyrian alchemist Camus, with his act of displaying alchemical wonders with an intelligent and hilarious mix of comedic relief.

Cookery
Victor of the chef's contest was our very own Baron Ssar'ney of the house of the sea serpent with his well cooked (not burnt at all) fish.

Homecoming

Tyan Masines Returns

The Cadomyr Herald joins the people of the realm in welcoming Tyan Masines back to Cadomyr after a long absence from the realm. Since his arrival, the formerly established sir turned journeyman has served with his fellow comrades in eradicating cultists from these lands time and again.

May his return be long and prosperous.

Stay Vigilant

Guardians of Akaltut

People of Cadomyr, do be reminded that we still are plagued by the demon witch, Akaltut, and that any and all members of the realm who can wield a blade are urged to venture to her chambers and pass the tests of the guardians. Only by doing this can we destroy this ungodly creature once and for all.

Those who cannot aid in battle, be reminded that you too can help the realm. Food, supplies and alchemical aid are the back bone of our warriors. It is with your skills that provide us with strength and the means to continue.

Together, we can accomplish anything. Together, we are unstoppable.
