Perhaps it was not such a good idea to leave such a powerful weapon after all, thought Dyluck.
Throughout the ages, there have been many with power, and few who could use it wisely.
Maybe it's better to let the future decide it's own fate.....

And so, Dyluck travelled to the ruins of the Mana Well. He opened his seal and retrieved the sword and easily broke it in half as it was still weak. He dug a small hole, and buried the useless pieces beneath the ground

Then he went off to find the bearers of the seven stones, to tell them that they have been relieved of their burden....

After all that work...

Look here, my boots still have giant tears in them from those filthy rotworms...

The sword was a bit risky to keep around and the stones were becoming a burden.
But maybe someday...

Good that it is destroyed. With power always comes the wish to use it.
I knew that dyluck would show the wisdom to destroy the thing. And as it seems, this also stopped the weird effects from the mana well's water.
