I would like to propose that the old scrolls and pells be brought back into the game,
I would invisage parchments,scrolls and pells being able to be made someday by mages and alchemists,
but what i would like to see now is the return of the pells and scrolls with the ability to write in them with Quill pens.
Limiting the text to say 100 character for parchments, 150 characters for the smaller scrolls and 250 for the larger ones as an example.
We have a limited ability to write on parchments can this not be made to work on these items in a more useful way?

This would open up a huge area of roleplay possibilities aswell as allowing scholars to write there own referance libraries
to some extent.

How should the text be displayed?

I would suggest the display that is already in use for normal books in the game.

Message dialog.

Maybe triple the characters able to be used to,300,450,750 , in the example i first gave that is too small to be of much use.

To my knowledge, our client and server devs do not intend to make books creatable via script. That means, we cannot use the normal book style but can only work with the message dialog. The maximal limit is then a question what the message dialog is still able to display properly.

Arrrr(dwarvish) ok then ,lets hope the message dialog can support and display a reasonable amount of characters then.
I do think if we could get something like this working it would have a huge fun impact ingame.

I like this idea and can think of several ways it could be useful.
