Citizens of Runewick will notice posting on boards throughout Runewick. Every citizen will be needed to help with the construction of a drawbridge from the wind tower to the tower of Water during Tanos. Exact material requests are not yet determined.. but it can be expected that much wood, ropes and iron bars will be needed to insure structure integirty of the bridge. Also many tools will be needed by the craftspeople. Please add your reply to this notice as to what you will be able to contribute. Leena

Citizens will find posted all over Runewick the following notice:

The Bridge construction has been Approved... All citizens are asked to help. If each does a small bit it will make it easy to achieve this great build.

Looking for Diplomats that will be willing to negotiate items not created in Runewick.

2500 Pins + 2500 Pins for the pins and cotters
1000 Iron Ingots
250 Ingots for the planes
150 Hammers
300 Saws
100 Hatchets

Our fine carpenters can create the handles for the tools to help with the negotiations.

We will need all crafters, and non crafters to collect and create the following items. Non-crafters can bring the raw materials (logs and wool) to be assigned to crafters. A day to collect wood as a group is planned.

3000 Naldor wood boards
3000 Cherry wood boards
1500 Apple wood boards
500 Ropes
250 Planes

And of course any sweets (pies, cakes..) would be appreciated to feed the hard workers.

More help needed..

Sammy has agreed to make the tools for us, I am making the Hammer Handles today, need other carpenters to complete the saw and Hatchet handles.

Also needed a couple strong backs to carry handles to Cadomyr for Sammy and to return with the iron.. please let me know if you can help Leena

i would also smith the tools ..
therefore you need to bring the handles, or the branches, i would make the handles than, to Galmair
- and later the tools back to Runewick.

Bridge building update posted beside full list

The citizens of Runewick have been amazing

All the handles have been created ready for the diplomats to take to the other two cities.. We may need to make things for the trade.. keep watching the board

Nador and Apple wood boards are both all ready to go

Needed, Many, Many more cherry wood (boards if possible or I will cut for you)
planes - to be made in Runewick - I have some Iron that has been donated to help if you need it.

Big thanks to Katharina - she negotiated a sweet deal in Runewick with Snori for all the saws... one step closer.. she is working on negotiations to get the other tools and the pins and iron bars on behalf of the city.

thanks to the :"team" that went to Galmair to pick up the Iron that Katharina negotiated for the build. Awesome Job Katharina. The Team was Katharina, Deanna, Caldarion, Alrick, Evie , Velisa and Leena. We made all the Iron back in only two trips...

Thanks to all that have contibuted already. Only item still needed in the pins and pins and cotters.

As well I need some help carrying the pins that are done back from Glamair to Runewick. If you have a strong back and would like to go to Galmair.. maybe mine some coal and iron and then carry back the pins, please let me know. Leena

If anyone can contribute more pins.. I will make up the pins and cotters... then the matriels for the build will be complete..Raina of Galmair has made most... with Evie, Cal, Uhura and Vel, brining them back home.

There are some of Runewick who have not yet done anything to help. Please we need you for this last little bit.

The bridge materials are done!!!!

Huge Thanks to an amazing group of girls, Raina who made all the pins, and Raina, Uhuru, Christine and Evie who brought them all back, Evie supplied the boughs and made all the pins and cotters.

there have been so many that have helped... we can all be proud of what we have accomplished.

Please watch here for dates of the build.. I want you all to be there to see it come together.

The drawbridge construction is coming closer.. Now we need committed Runewickers to sign below to commit to helping with the build.

We will need 6 or more cafters. Cal, Evie, Alrik, and myself are on as carpenters and Leomar as smith. We still need a few more that will commit so we know as a team what is needed for the build

We need as well good fighters to protect the crafters - Uhuru has offered but we need more

Elvaine will supply the mages

Please sign below if you are able to help - cooks can always supply cakes...

Watch the board for future updates about date of build.

As of today we have offers of the following crafters:

Leena - Carpenter
Cal - Carpenter
Alrik = Carpenter
Evie - Carpenter
Fiona - Carpenter
Lemoar - Smith
Rakaya - tailor

We could still use a few more. As well we have had some offers from Galmair citizens to help for friendships sake

to guard the crafters:

Uhuru - will be primarily making sure Evie does not fall off the bridge

We are still in great need of volunteers. We know date and time may be an issue, but we first need to know who all may be interested at all. Until we have interest, we cannot schedule this.

Please let us know if you are interested in helping in one of the positions Leena has listed. We understand a conflict may arise, making it impossible to be there, but we need to know there is a chance of more people than this before we move forward.

Due to the loss of some very fine crafters who have just moved to Galmair, the drawbridge project is in Jeopardy. We will need more crafters/guards to complete the bridge. Or is there any interest? The materials are ready, the plans ready to go. Citizens of Runewick - please let your interest to this and commitment to the project be known. Or does the city want to use the resources in other ways. Leena
