Insulted

I love my kingly outfit. It is a very handsome and is fun to wear. Now, I was walking to the minefields, and i saw Cain Freemont. We were talking and i was saying about my outfit. I jokingly said something about being the king. He then said (direct qout) "Your as kingly as i am noble." I wouldn't have been insulted if before he hadn't been saying that he doesn't want to be king because he "isn't noble enough." Elaralith made me most of the clothing and it was very fine indeed. But Cain Freemont just insults what i am wearing! I am angry.

I don't see any reason you should be mad. We do not have a king and probably never have one.

Please forgive me Paul. I did not know that you were incapable of comprehending sarcasm. Although, I would have to stand firm with what I said.. You may have the robes of nobility, but it takes more than clothes to be kingly.

Paul, he made you look like a fool. You should fight him, or forgive him.

Since violence is the path of the lesser minds, such would only make the agressor look more foolish.

All I wanted was an apology for your *erchem* comment. I took it as an insult of my clothes and i don't stand for such insults.

#me A medium height elf gripping a beautifully carved staff walks in....

Glad to see that you like my tailoring Paul. I do think though that this conflict is quite foolish. One who cares about everything those around you say will forever be in torment. If you truly love the clothes, Paul you need not care what others may say about them even if they seem as insults to your ears.

Elaralith, I see no real conflict, only a side making an attempt to gain an apology for his own choice of style. I do like your clothes Elaralith, but it is the way he paraded about like a king that made me throw my comment. I simply made a comment and have no regrets for doing so. He clearly did not comprehend the fact that it was a simple joke, not to be taken seriously. And, honestly, what would he gain from making a complaint about it on the town wall? More embarassment for complaining about such a small thing in an attempt to make me look bad, not that I really care what others think of me as much as people would like to think.

Paul, quit crying out to the town, please. It looks silly. There was no need to bring it here. This problem, if it really is a problem, must be dealt between you and I, not the town.

..Yours,

Greetings Cain!
What you say I understand well. But I believe that the conflict lies in a misunderstading. Paul obviously believe you insulted him while you on the other hand thought it to be a mere joke. Truly, I think this foolish as I mentioned before. But yes it would be best for this to be resolved away from the public eye to spare further embarrassment.

Jokes seem funniest at other people's expense.

Okay, this is pointless. Paul, your attempts at attention are no longer going to work towards me, from here on out, if you have a problem you talk to ME about it. Not dragging it to the public. I am not posting here anymore.

This is the silliest conflict I have ever seen. Cain, you are being the mature one by exiting the town hall.
Mr.Laffing, you should follow suit by leaving also...and then us in the town hall can discuss more important issues...
