The webchat client from the game's website sends out six forbidden requests to webchat.quakenet.org before closing the connection. It's been happening for a while now and I can't figure out if I'm supposed to allow a connection to my computer or what..

Are you trying to access the chat through a proxy?

I just tested the chat. Its working fine for me.

This problem is between you and quakenet. There is nothing we can do about it.
Maybe your ip is a shared one, this can happen when connecting via a mobile device. If there are too many connections it might get banned.

I see you're using the latest firefox, you might want to try chatzilla also though may not help the present problem, I haven't had any issues with it. It is an addon for firefox, and very user friendly https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... chatzilla/

I did use my phone to get into chat at a couple of occasions, not really sure what else it could be. Thanks for the suggestion Achae. This can be closed I suppose.
