I seem to be having difficulties figuring out how cooking works with the new illa. I assumed pans would work with fires like cooking spoons used to, but got disappointed. A static fire I used wouldn't work, and when trying to lit a fire like I used to be able to, beneath a cauldron, I couldnt even move the wood beneath it. So yeah.. help?

I don't know about how to use pans.

You don't have to make a fire for cooking.
You can cook using a spoon standing next to a one of these static campfires with three wodden poles and cauldron.
Then a crafting menu opens up there you can chose what to cook.

Thanks. Didn't even consider it would work without a fire, feels too unrealistic.

So anyone know what to do with a pan then?

I think pans are another useless item

You can sell them.

I'm using it as Samuel's weapon if he needs one on the fly.
