Answers to questions im often asked about alchemies

1)Why do i often stand in buckets while working at the cauldron ,answer : Tradition, all competent alchemists do this.
2) Can you just quickly make me up a handful o' bombs some warrior potions and some healings,answer :Quickly? no, no i cant! it takes dozens o'
herbs and much mixings and formular readings which takes time.
3)Why dont you have enough potions to fill my order ,answer: coz sometimes i need to eat and go for a walk.
4)Why cant i buy potions from you at much reduced cost? i buy from you often ,answer: because the minimum costs to things dont change and alchemy aint just a wave o' a wand and poof! there be yer potion ,there be brain work te be payed fer too.
5) I gave you herbs give me a discount! ,answer: if (in the case of a smith) i brought you a couple of ores and a bit of fur can i have a cheap shadow plate armor please, No! oh well it be the same with alchemy a bit o' grass and a few leaves dont help,i already pay
for the herbs i want that folk bring me.


To those wot has no idea o' alchemy and to those that are what i term dabblers the prices i have set are fair if ye dont lik' em make yer own potions.
Some o' the more expensive ones might change if i has a good supply o' rare herbs at the time but the lower priced ones be about rock bottom.

Recently aquired

As the town physician is pleases me te anounce that i have aquired a new shipment o' leechs from the swamp close te
the Hempneck tie Inn.
Due te a large amount o' undead wot walk this bog,the leechs from this area seem te be particularly famished an' tend
te consume more blood at a time than normal ,this o' course is a great advantage as it allows more o' the ill humours te be
drawn from yer bodies.

When Ufedhin is in the herb house experimenting vile reeks and steams sometimes escape under the door and small wisps of greenish vapour can sometimes be seen ,the explosions and muttered curses can be heard often from the herb room.During the darkest nights, deep disturbing chants one can also hear if brave enough to venture close,chants that make your skin crawl and hair stand on end .

The very air around the herb house at times seems heavy with menace and danger an one can be forgiven for imagining eyes in the deepest shadows
peering back at you with wicked intent.

During the days when Ufedhin works in the herb house a greenish vapour can be seen emmiting periodically from the chimney into the sky ,a perceptive person would notice many dead birds lay around the town, far more than usual.

~Someone who is able to count would still not need more than one hand to count these dead birds. Galmair's or rather the birds of the North seem to be smart enough to avoid the smoke by all means. However, someone might also recognise an increased amount of bird excrements around the entrance door of the alchemy house. Observers report that birds fly close by the door as soon as someone leaves the building since the greenish vapour has been recognised and the birds activity can be understood as a kind of revange.~

Ps ,i regret to inform that the Halfling Lotte Silberstrief was slightly injured today during a routine experiment ,alas i take all precautions but alchemy is an art fraught with many dangers aswell as great rewards,i do my best to practise alchemy safely yet experiments can be unpredictable.
The Halfling will recover fully im sure with only minor permanent effects such as a nevous twitch,tremours ,night sweats etc.

Possible cause fer increased speed an' ferocity o' the creatures in our land.

The speed an ferocity o' the creatures in our land since last Mas maybe due te a bizzare plague wot is carried by fleas ,lice, gut worms etc,
it is possible that emissions from swamps have generated this plague wot has been taken up by these lower creatures an' they has infected
greater beasts inturn..it seems we have nay been effected this way coz our brains be more developed.The brain tissue o' beasts i has studied shows
inflamation an' a darkening from the black humours in the aggresion bits ,Brains in sentient beings do not exhibit this characteristic yet, but who knows it may mutate an affect us aswell.....
However te be sure i need te make greater studies on this matter wit the help o' street urchins.
Alas we no longer have a safe ,private area te conduct such an indepth experiment due te other businesses taken over the alchemical apothecary in the Flicker Swale .So lets see if lottery pedlers an map sellers an' gamblers can assist in this matter! In other words i most strongly encourage the chancellors te get this sorted out ! dont wait on the blasted depot .

Only a few arrive to help move the furniture and cauldrons from the Flicker Swale to the Hog Dens. When the men leave and the women have to carry the heavy cauldron, which is attached to a table and very heavy, progress slows greatly, overburdening them and forcing them to drop it twice on the way.

Thankfully, a powerful man joins in to help move the desk, however, many items fall off the top as they had not been packed up and moved in advance. They are picked up out of the mud and one of the women tries to wipe them clean before putting them back on the desk in the Hog Dens.

The orcs don't seem too pleased with the intrusion into their space.
