Illarion.org

I can't get the new client to load. I get this message "Unable to launch Illarion launcher"
When I push the detail button I get this message
"An error occurred while launching/running the application
Title: Illarion launcher
Vendor: Illarion e.V.
Category: Launch file error
Unsupported JNLP version in launch file: 6.0+. Only version 1.0 is supported with this version. Please contact the application vendor to report this problem."

I already deleted the old version. Illarion client v1.21
BTW when I go to the download page it says latest version of client is v1.22. Where can I find v2.0?

I have tried the 'Start game' button on the main page. Then tried 'Play!' and 'Illarion-starter' from the download page. All give me the same message/result.

First, make sure you're on Java 7.

Then try this solution. I had a similar problem on the TS and this worked. It's a bit long though. Windows fix that worked for me:

Step 1:
Go to where illarion is installed (probably C:/users/yourname/illarion/) and there will be a file called "bin". Delete it.

Step 2:
Go to the start menu. Type run and hit return. In the "run" box type:
javaws -viewer

In Javaws Viewer, delete illa from applications, and all resources directing to http://illarion.org , and remove the client from the "deleted" menu.

Step 3:
Make sure you definitely have no copies of Illarion running. Launch run again and this time type:
javaws -clearcache

Once it's done, try redownloading.

I followed your instructions but still won't load new client, same message. So i did a file search and deleted all illarion files from my PC and re-updated my java 7. Still nothing.
Anymore suggestions?

Nevermind. I am not sure what worked but it is working now. Thanks for all the help.

You are using java 5. Check your installed applications. You most likely got multiple installations of java. Uninstall all of them and install java 7 again. Then it should work
