I am not sure where to place this.
My character ran into a skeleton mage at the cross by the cemetery. It was repeatably charging the cross. Then it attacked me, so I ran for the cross to seek shelter. It's spells are not blocked by the cross, so any that go there to heal will just get ghosted again.
The character I was playing could not hope to defeat the mage, and if I logged in another, it would be with OOC knowledge.
I am not sure how to handle a situation like this and if posting this breaks a rule, sorry.
If this is the wrong place for this post, sorry again.

I am kind of hoping this will change also with the VBU, magic from a monster IMO shouldn't reach the cross. Having the same thing happen to me but after she was ghosted and at the cross, then being still attacked, ghosted once more at the cross...I logged her until the next day hoping the monster would be gone by then and she could run from that particular cross. It worked.

My character escaped out the back. I was just concerned about others.

You got lucky then.. out the back for mine was into more mages . Hopefully the VBU will correct this.

Crosses will be placed in safe regions without monsters around with the VBU. Also, we implemented a new "repell method" that will prevent monsters coming even remotely close to a cross. The whole resurrection method will be changed as well.

This is not a technical problem. If you encounter a monster reskilling a character at a cross, !gm will help you.

I remember when William was Reskilled at the cross in Greenbriar by a skeleton mage.

During a large quest.

Many laughs were had at his expense.
