Wrong in the worst way

Something is very wrong with this game.

I have spent many dollars changing my system to fit this game, even though my system exceeded the supposed requirements. Got a bigger CPU,added as much RAM as my system will handle, got vid card that gives me the most open GL support I can have, bought the 100 dollar a month high speed internet service, the best in my area. And still, I get freezes that get me killed. You think it is just an obscure game, or waiting for the VBU that makes people leave? it is the fact that all I gain is lost with one freese of the system, one moment when I can do nothing, and I have made every effort to keep it from happening.

Okay. Some more details.

What are the exact specifications of your system?
Do you use a up-to-date windows?
Do you use the latest version of Java 6?
Are your graphic drivers up-to-date?
What kind of internet connection are you using now exactly?
What is your ping response time to the Illarion Server?

Sorry, cannot resist: A computer that runs Illarion in a convenient way can be bought at 50$ at any flea market. Illarion requires hardware that was state of the art in 2001. The freezes are either related to a software issue or connection issues.

Sorry i too must comment, i run a machine built by Archimedes and find the game runs just great,
so i would have to say the issue you have is not a fault of the game.
Hope you sort your troubles out .

100$ per month sounds like sattellite connection.

Sattelite connections are NOT thought for gaming use because sattelite ping is crappy. The signal needs between 0.5 and 1 second from your dish to the server and the same for the way back, so with sattelite connections you end up suffering ping times of at least 1-2 seconds.
Of course you have a stable connection and a good download rate, but the ping times of every dialup connection is much lower (=better).
