The Big Update
Nub question!
So, I've heard mention of "the big update" several times on the forum now. My sister told me it was a myth 'cause she's a bitter hag, so I've decided to ask just what "the big update" means.
When's it happening? What should I expect?
It's like I'm seven again and all the grown ups are giving me smiles instead of telling me what the heck Margarita Day is.

Yes, they just drop innuendos and tell us that basically everything we know about Illarion will be different.
But it's very real, and has been taking up MANY MANY hours of development for the various things.
Personally, i think that one of the things in it will be Nitram being officially declared supreme Deity of all Illarion.

What can you expect: The result of the work of around 10 hard working volunteers of around one and a half year. Virtually, every aspect of the game is being worked on, but we focus on technical improvements (one could speak of breakthrough innovations for Illarion) and, currently a bit less pronounced, game content.
All in all, you can expect what would have been released during the last year by incremental updates plus some nice surprises. We decided to bundle all releases to minimize the number of patch events (that are always connected to downtime of the server etc.). So, be patient, it is worth it.
PS: It will be released when it is done.

Imagine a huge bunch of people working on some common goal, but it's so complex that you cannot say when who is finished with what...
To find out when everything is done is pure guesswork, more or less. In fact, you want our devs busy doing their stuff instead of being busy calculating a possible finished date, and if there's any stuff-co-relating bugs to come, which sounds quite logical, you had to move the release date again and again and disappoint people... so it's way better to set no official date and surprise the community when you have something that kicks everyone off their shoes.
