Game Consultants/Spiel Berater

Hallo !

Danke.

Bis bald
Loki

After translating your post from German to English (why bother putting English title when you don't put English translation? *g*) I got the gist of your message.

I have been thinking of the mechanics of what you speek of, and it would be reasonably possible in a programming sense, but it might become a nightmare in an administrative sense.

Can you perhaps think of some guildlines how something like this might be instituted? Understand, I'm just thinking out loud for myself, no one else.

I was begging for a translation by someone else, i was too exhausted after thinking about this idea.

Can i ask you how do you mean
"some guildlines how something like this might be instituted?"
I meant, these GC's are standing below a normal GM. They mostly do some advisery work and cant change the flow of the game such drastical like a Game Master (putting new objects, placing Monsters, ect. ...)
If a problem is brought to a GC, which he cant handle by himself, he should ask for help from a GM.
As you might noticed i suggested, that these GC could ban Players that broke rules in minor ways (Powergaming the first time or something like that). These band may go from some Minutes to a day.

After all the GC's should be the first institution where a Player can go if he has a question or needs some other advises. That would hopfuly reduce the work of GM's

I hope i got your point Serpardum, if not please tell me what you want to know.

Bye bye
Loki

P.S.: I hope this is written in understandable English

to be honest, i don't like the idea very much. it just confuses players because there are too many grades (call it whatever you want). we're not in the army where you have recruits, majors, officers, admirals, marshalls and whatever you can imagine.

This wasnt planded as a "rank system" in first place, more a dividing of work.
But i have to say, that because of administrative reason there has to be some kind of "official routine".

I dont' know if anything like this would ever be implemented. But it might be a good idea to get ideas.

I have allready seen such Ranking systems in other RPg and there they work really good.

the Higher group take a look of the RPG of the player, help by Quest, build items and so far..

the lower group punished Rulebreaker, help Newbs and other Player by Questions

Both Groups have the right to punish player, beam there in some jail, take there items and so on...

in the other game it work realy good but there they have much more gm`s than in illarion, but the number of rulebreaker is realy low....
