Hey, I downloaded the game on a new computer, and it all works fine until it finishes, and the loginscreen comes up. all fine and dandy. Then, I log out, and after, I go to log in again, but I can't find the client anywhere! I have the Illarion folder in My Documents, but all it has in it is the manuals, readme, and a file called illarion.cfg ( and my character's file, of course ). How do I get the client button/icon/thingy!??!

When you click on "Start Game" on the homepage, instead of "Run" choose "Save as" when you're asked by your browser.

It only says run or cancel.
Edit: I deleted and reinstalled, and now it doesn't even ask for that, it just goes ahead and downloads it TWICE

If you use the button on the homepage it'll load anyway.
Otherwise
open run/terminal, type in "Javaws -viewer"
press enter
Wait for a window to pop up.
You should have "Illarion client" in a list
You can right click and "Run online" and run it from there.
Or you can right click and "Install shortcuts"
Alternativly.
Right click on your desktop - choose "Create Shortcut"
And make a shortcut to -
http://illarion.org/illarion/download/i ... lient.jnlp
The end.

I tried everything you said.
When I click the link, I'm asked to Find, Save, or Cancel. I click save, put in in my Illa folder (where my char files are), and when I go to open it after it downloads, it says
Windows cannot open this file:
File: illarion_client.php
To open this file, windows needs to know what program created it. And then it asks if I want windows to look for it or do it manually, bla bla.
I also tried the run thing, but it wouldn't work.
Edit: I tried to open the file again ( after reinstalling it )and it as a .jnlp instead of .php

Yeah, you can simply double click the jnlp and the client will start.
