we have gold coins and silver ingots. we should have silver coins and gold ingots also. shouldnt be too hard. jsut need to change the colors. say 5 silver coins is 1 gold coin and 5 silver ingots is 1 gold ingot? something like that. also, then comes silver smithing. same items jsut in silver, not gold. And how about ingot smithing(uinclyuded in silver or gold smiting) you get 200 silver coins((instead of 250 silver becuase it will be soo difficult))(things should be changed now from gold coins to silver ingot so it is 250 silver coins a silver ingot and so such)
i wouldnt think it would be too hard considering we jsut need to copy the same skills with and jsut change the colors.
jsut an idea

It's just that Silver happends to be rarer than gold in Illarion. (Currently)
So it is move valuable. Also I think that it would bring problems with goldsmithing, since gold can be dug from the ground, why couldn't we just melt it into ignots and get rich in seconds?
If iron would be rare, then we'd use Iron coins, Iron ignots, Iron jewelry..
Getting the point?

I agree there should be gold bars. And silver coins. You should be able to mine and smith silver ore. And to smith bars you would need 10-20 gold or silver ore(because with one ore you make rings how could you use 1 ore to make a bar) Also i think that smithing bars into items could be possible like making golden statues and such. also i think there should be able to make coins from bars to make a bar (worth of the bar+(25-efficienty)=bar). the 25 is extra coins needed. so youl would loose money converting either way but that means you could carry bars around and then convert them into coins for convience. and miners could use gold to make bars thus to make money

And silver is not rarer than gold because we cant compare silver and gold because

Silver bar=250 coins Gold bar=???coins Gold coin = ?? silver coins so we cant know what is more vaulaBLE because 1 the silver is already converted to gold coins 2 because wee dont have silver coins yet so we cant compare[/quote]

Silver has to be more valuable than gold, because a silver bar weights less than the 250 gold it takes to buy. So there is less weight of the silver bar than the gold.
