Why are new characters/accounts hidden on the online-player list?

Honestly dont have a clue. Just how things are. But they come off after about a month

Once upon a time, new characters were shown on the online list but it was common in these days, that bad names were publically discussed on the boards. We realized that this is no way to welcome new players to Illarion and thus new characters are hidden on the online list to give only the Gamemasters the chance to spot bad names and deal with them.

I have been playing longer than a month, and even though my online status is on show it does not show up ..
