i'l admit i know hardly anything about this kind of thing, but i'd was just asking for intrests sake. Why is it that not all types of herbs stack?
please explain.

Because herbs have a quality modifier, and are therefore unstackable.

Items which have quality do not stack, and herbs need the quality so a druid can (for example) make a potion out of excellent herbs, or a rubbish one out of low-quality ones

You could 'stack' them (and reduce their quality) using plates before.
