Is there a way possible that players can 'Grow'. I mean 5'3" 14 year olds dont stay that size forever do they

I like that idea too. I completely stuffed up recently, I made a young character, who came back to haunt someone. I apparently made him age 5 or so years before 2 months was out!

Had to use the excuse "Magic did it."

it would involve creating a script to randomaly grow a character within certain perameters each year. it would also need to keep track of said year. while i cannot imagine the program itself would be dificult to script i am not sure if the time since creation can be properly monitored in order to do this. finally i am not sure if this (though a nice, interesting idea) would be worth the effort. I am sure if you right to a gm, on your characters birthday, to have his hieght increase 1d4 inches and then multiply that by 2d4 for additional wieght i cannot see them having a problem doing this as it is quick, easy, and shows good rp.

+1 skill point = +0.01cm.

Or you could just ask a GM to adjust your height. Just sayin.

There should be a maximum height. I mean, if you make a 2 meter guy with age 17, what will he be at age 45? If the grow is constantly, you could spit onto golems heads without jumping or climbing.

no automatic grow!!!!!!
*readies gynks* noone is allowed to change the height of my chars except i ask a gm about that!

obviously height perimeters still apply just as in char creation or even custom growth levels

Maybe if a character is created young, then after so long of having it you could have the *option* to go back and edit his height yourself. A one- or two-time offer. A human at age 30 would not have this opportunity, as he should be fully mature (physically, anyway).

It's a terrible idea because it forces growing on people's characters who don't want their chars to grow.

Simple solution is -
You pick a start height and an end height. And every year you gain a percentage of it.
You don't want your chars to grow tall? Make them equal.
Everyone's happy

0.01x800=8cm.. and... damn! Thought it was going to be more than that

Good solution

But unless it's easy to script... me thinks it'll have to wait.

should be easy script,
age =XX.XX than hieght + ([maxheight-currenthieght] / [maxage - age])
age = 15.00 than 150 + ([175-150]/[19-15])
hieght = 156.25
age = 16 than 156.25 + ([175-156.25]/[19-16])
height = 162.5
age = 17 than 162.5 + ([175-162.5]/[19-17])
height = 168.75
age = 18 than 168.75 + ([175-168.25]/[19-18])
height = 175
just not sure how to get it to work so that it increases with only whole numbers (so like at 15,16,17 instead of 15.1, 15.2, 15.3 and everything inbetween) however this could be something run once a day thing, or week, or month. doesn't really matter with this formula just keep like 10 decimal places and have a slowly growing character, over the course of a few years.
edit: self removing from list way:
([maxheight-currenthieght] / [maxage - age]) = add
if add >0 than hieght + add
if add =0 than end
have a mini program for each character and just run them all automated once a week, all you would need to do is a timer and a run program function, but this is just my idea and i'm not sure if it would work with this programing.

Some would be grown by 14 years unless Illa is going to have children younger, isn't this a little complicated to script for just those chars that want to grow? If doing that I can see chars getting older and shorter also

I do not like this, I don't think this is needed at all. : /
Just ask a GM to change the height when you feel enough time has passed to warrant such action

You either mark it as an integer, so the decimal part gets truncated (this is equal to using FLOOR) on the number. Or rounding it.

then change it so that
if add =<0 end
no more shrinking
but yes, this can be solved by asking the gm's everyfew months to increase your hieght and wieght accordingly.

Tanisitan; add vars according to nutrition stats to your equations maybe?
Still missing paperdolls, an exactly fitting height is mostly a RP thing,
probably.
Maybe a point one might take notes of externally...
on paper or in ones mind,
like when we had no diet system.
Also remember certain injuries might affect growth,
positively or negatively.
Just imagine your growing up char gets one leg messed up when young,
and has big chances to get some kind of postural deformity when becoming an adult
though the primarily problem received treatment.
