Heya. Thinking of trying a druid char. If so, what kinds of attributes would I be looking at. What attributes are used for druidism?

Some dexterity is good and all. But beyond this the main part of the work is done in your personal mind ;-) The attributes of your character do not help at all if you are unable to find out some good receipts.

From what I have heard, you need to be very observant to find herbs, which is the main part of your job, and it helps with some other aspects as well. There is a little bit more that requires some other stats to be ok, but that is the only stat that I have heard from people that really makes their character incapable if they don't have it. I believe that a strong personality and a sharp mind are also useful as well, but there is a lot more open area in this magic class than seems to be for the mage.

That said, I don't play a druid, so I only speak from hearsay, you might want to talk to someone who does have a druid character (preferably in-game) to find out what is important.

There are two variations of druid in game...the first is mechanics only i.e. making of potions similar to alchemy. The second is mechanics yet relies also on roleplay using the history of druids from when the game began. Those stressing the roleplay, you can usually find in a druid guild. For the mechanics of alchemy/potion making/runes etc. most chars can find that out easily in game and reading the wiki. As far as I know, most chars haven't had a problem with the mechanics.

Cool, thanks guys. The ones I'm most interested in is the roleplay really. I like the concept. Is the history somewhere on Illapedia? I can't seem to find it, just a little about them. Thanks for the feedback, guys.

If you like the roleplay version, I suggest use the typical druid setup. Even if it is adjusted for attributes that are not actually used in the current druid system (like essence, willpower), these attributes are well-used in RP. And who knows? Maybe one day beyond the world's end there'll be a use for them.
