Example would be if only one person were working on an anvil they would make 100% xp and one item per routine. if a second person joined him maybe make routine faster and more accurate, both player materials be used together. maybe a bonus to exp for both players.
While the master may get less experience he could have the items made. would probly work best if master appentice somehow be prompted to "teach" the apprentice.
also the master could make a deal with potential apprentice and ask for him to get mats (ie mining) seeing as mining is easier and faster to gain experience. I believe this would make RPing very easy and allow for a master to have two or more apprentices.
example: 75%xp master and 125%xp Apprentice
RP: Master and apprentice smith.

The master and apprentice (idea)

Yep. Your suggestion would mean a change in the current skill-cap system.
If you get, lets say, a level up from level 0 (no skill) to level 4 (veeeery blue) you have a skill cap.
If it goes faster ,you reach the cap faster. Maybe you even get to level 3 instead of 4, because you have had shorter regeneration time for the skill cap.
So i think the training should be made alone, but feel free to RP a master/apprentice situation. This is always good if the "master" does not only tell
"Use your hammer with the anvil while having iron on your belt!"
