Why was I banned?

An elf character just came into krull's hunting area, and I warned him that I was hunting there. He didn't leave. With swords unsheathed, Krull Growled at him. Nothing.

I then emoted "attacks" him and he ran away. No clouding.

I returned to hunting goblins and I got a simple message saying I was banned for 4 weeks! For attacking a newbie without emotes! Bullshit!

I used 2 emotes and then left after he ran away.

This is GM abuse if I ever heard of it. I want to be put back in the game.

Thanks. I just think a ban of 4 weeks is unfair without even a hearing on the incident. I wasn't even allowed to tell my side!

As the rule says.....

10. Player killing
Fights between player characters (PvP) is allowed for roleplaying purposes. Attacking characters without a valid roleplay reason is forbidden. The same holds for killing a character multiple times within a very short period of time. Resurrection killing ("reskilling") is also strictly forbidden. Newbies, who are unfamiliar with how the game works, have to be treated friendly as long as they are not aggressive.

* He wasn't killed
* He was emoted (twice)
* He was attacking Goblins....not a Newbie IMO.

Where's the rule-break?

If you need a name for your abuse - it was me. Do what you want to.
But I don't suffer attacking newbies with a simple #me attacks.

Btw it wasn't the first complain about you.
Now take the penalty as a man and the time you got to think about your ingame behaviour.

Next time the ban will be much longer than 4 weeks.

How are we supposed to know if someone is a newbie?

He was attacking Goblins.
He ignored my warning and Growl emote

What else can I do?

It doesn't matter if there are complaints....people always complain, but where's the rule-break???

Maybe you dont fully understand him. Some people...aren't out there for simple things like money or power. Some people just want to watch the world burn.

Yeah, you guys are really helpful. I've been playing for years, and this is bullshit. No hearing or even a visit.

Thanks Randal for the link, I sent off an email.

I think that this kind of action by GM's hurts RP of the game more than helps it.

I'm on no-ones side here, of course my opinion matters very little aswell, though I ask you Arien Edhel if maybe you could please notify the players that the enemy is a newbie player.

I was playing a new char earlier today who got attacked by a great rper, If I was a newbie I would have hated to see that player get banned for weeks for not knowing.

Thanks love Matt

You're not that new that you don't know that an invisible char at the online list can be a newbie.

The ban resists.
