This has probably been mentioned before, but maybe you could be able to set different speeds for your character to move in game?

Just because it's kind of ridiculous for you to move at the same speed taking a walk with your friend as you would running away from a theif, is it not?

I believe speeds could be lowered (which I wouldn't want) but not raised though am unsure of that.
