An Excerpt from a Journal

He appeared near the road leading toward town, first heard by the light clanging of armor as he leaned against the tree then looking up from her depot, she saw a man with sea green eyes and hair the color of wheat appearing to be watching her as she smiled a greeting. With a rough, low voice... " I look for a blond curly haired girl" he finally speaks. Not being able to help him, and finding out he needed seed, Achae offers some she had kept at the Grey Rose not realizing what would happen next.
Turning from her depot with onion seed held out in her hand, she was shoved quickly against the wall scattering the seed as her breath left with a "whoosh" of sound. By the time she was able to yell, they were a long way from the Grey as she was carried easily on someone's strong shoulders.
Achae sits with her back to the altar bending her knees with the journal propped on her lap as she writes occasionally looking up when a particularly bright light emanates from it, yet mainly concentrating on her book, her handwriting precise and neat.
Sometimes I wonder at the circumstances that place one person at a particular point in time, at just that moment. Why did I go to Greenbriar to tailor... why was he there at the same time? Some things are left up to the gods. He seemed at the time to be fascinated hearing I was a Druid, and maybe even more that I was Ama'shoon? Yet who can be angry at someone that proceeds to kneel and bow his head to me after safely arriving, even though the trip was...
Achae pauses now and a frown forms on her face as if trying to find just the right words staring at her journal intently.
..interesting.
She now smiles as her thoughts return to the other day before becoming serious again and adding..
I have agreed to stay to help ONLY one dwarfen week then we will talk, he has promised to let me leave if that is my decision. Giving me a key and letting me leave toward Trolls Bane trusting I would not break a promise after requiring me to make it not only as a Druid but also Ama'shoon! I put a sign on the board and one at the hospital, told Dain I would make him a potion in three week time so I don't think I will be missed much, most knowing I can leave for weeks at a time into the forests. It bothers me a lot that this man seems to totally understand my Ama'shoon heritage, I must watch him closely, this familiarity is already...disconcerting. The conflict between my Druid half and Ama'shoon has been quiet now for a long time yet I feel doubts rising to the surface again thinking they were squelched forever. I will never forget that first, I am a Druid!
