Derzeit kommen viele neue Spieler dazu und wir möchten weiterhin vor allem echte Rollenspieler anlocken. Bitte unterstützt uns in diesem Vorhaben!

It's been so long that I don't really remember anymore, lol.

I found it on another website, but I don't remember what... I just browsed and looked for a free game, not specifically a roleplaying game. I have never roleplayed before, but the fact that everyone had to write an application aroused my interest. However, I eventually found out that this description was out of date and there was no need for an application any more. Nevertheless I tried it and... stayed.

I was looking for a game to play that didn't consist of lots of quests, mazes, kill the enemy.

I found illarion in some "free games" site, where you could download freeware and shareware games, back than the big flashgames wave hadn't hit yet, so this was an easy way to gain some free games, it was deep in the archives of that side under, of course, roleplaying games, sadly the site is not present anymore.

Google hat mich hergebracht, hab glaube ich Kostenlose mmorpg spiele eingegeben, bin dann auf ne Seite gegangen wo es unter ganz vielen anderen Spielen drinstand.
Es macht zur Zeit riesen Spaß oder besser gesagt seit fast 2 Jahren.

I have seen Illarion on the screen of a friend of me and decided to give it a try and started playing.

I had some friends in school talking about it, I asked what game they were talking about and I got the response "Oh nothing, you wouldn't like it."

I eventually got them to tell me and I gave it a try.

Nunja meines steht oben nicht, da ich mal ein Spieler war und dann aber aufhörte, nun bin ich mit meinem Bruder zusammengezogen (bei unseren Eltern, da diese nicht mehr die jünsten sind) und habe mir einen neuen Account gemacht, da mein alter damals gelöscht wurde, obwohl ich nicht wollte! Nunja bis dann...

Ich hab es damals über eine Suchmaschiene gefunden.
Den genauen Suchbegriff weiss ich nicht mehr, aber es war wahscheinlich etwas wie "Kostenloses Rollenspiel".

Ich habe mich damals über Google nach einem kostenlosen mmorpg, was deutschsprachig ist, umgeschaut und bin fündig geworden. Das mit dem deutschsprachig wurde in den Jahren immer weniger aber dafür hat Illarion ja nun auch neue Spieler, was das Wichtigste ist.

Ich weiß nur noch das ich und mein geliebtes Ehegirl um Weihnachten 2002 rum was zum zocken gesucht ham. Dank Dhalsim und Ultoris sammer hier geblieben.. der Rest is Geschichte...

Wow I remember how it happened, not where though.

I was back when there was still an application system with a story. I was like 12, still in Lebanon. So I applied and was all excited to get in the game and all stressy of not being accepted .. yet I was! I nearly pissed my pants, told like everyone in my family (o_O Yeah I know) went in game and my first emote was;

#me looks at the dwarf and laughs at his dirty teeth

Then he was like

#me does not have dirty teeth

So I ESC'd and never came back until two years later.

Or I searched for "Free game" and got to a big list. Illa wasn't the first one I went to, I remember that I joined with less than noble intentions.

Ich bekam den Tip von "irgendwem" in einem Online-Game, allerdings wars kein Rollenspiel orientiertes Spiel.

Jopp, Google Suche nach kostenlosen Onlinerollenspiel... Hatte ma Lust auf wat anderes, als immer nur Shooter und CnC. Dat erstbeste genommen, so ein Spiel namens Illarion. Kein Plan, wat dat war bzw was mich da erwartete. Nun weiß ichs.

Friend of mine who i used to play on a maltese UO shard with used to play.

He told me about it, but declined to play again because he didn't like the mood on the forums - apparently he was FOIG-ed once too many times.
