Could it be made so that things that are picked up are automatically stacked with any identical items?

Why would anyone want to pick up something unstacked rather than adding it to a stack? (From a PO perspective of course.)

Yes.
It is annoying when things are separate between the belt and bag.
Can and will it be changed? Doubt it.
Never know though. I come from a very pessimistic time.
