Hi there all!

For a change I decided to use a travel book since I was very encumbered. I used it and it dissappeared but no portal came up... What happened and what to do? I am kinda far from Trollsbane and really dont wanna walk all the way... =/

I have sent a message to the GM's but no answer. Do one get answers every time or can one just be ignored sometimes?

It could nt be that you are ignored..it could be that no GM is online.

The portal might have appeared on a water tile or behind something. It never happened before that a portal just "disappears"..

Well... No water nearby. Can it get stuck in a wall or something? Walked around everywhere around but could not find it. Not even at the other side of the wall...

I do believe that portals can be in walls or trees.

Typical my luck. Second time in my life I use the Travel books and this happens.. =)

Actually the script checks whether there is an item on the tile or not. If there is none, portal is created. If there is one, check another tile nearby. If no free tile is found, no portal is created and some message is sent to the player indicating to go somewhere else, I think.

If you've heard the sound from creating the portal, it was surely created but you didn't see it.

Have no sound on I am afraid... And I literally walked all tiles around - even the hidden ones. Even checked the other side of the wall just in case... Ah, well. Was a nice walk... =)
