Potions and Monsters

With the ability to take a small potion while fighting taken away knowing this is probably related to dueling, it also prevents testing "new" NPC's to see if the character is able to fight them or not. Well, it prevents this if you don't want to get ghosted. :D (taking away the potion's advantages has also decreased the money spent on them)

There is no difference between the small and the large potion except the small takes longer still to work, and occasionally you can get one from the bandits. It seems to me there should be a better alternative and am open to any suggestions.

An idea would be to only allow one potion to be taken in a certain number of minutes but allow it while fighting distinguishing between the large and the small by how fast it takes effect.

You probably confused "NPCs" with "monsters". NPCs can't attack and can't be attacked.

What about that one: Ask an experienced fighter to teach you the art of fighting and creature lore. Or go in a group. Then you can "test" new monsters with a very low chance to get ghosted.

/ don't know anything about the potions, but Druid System is coming in the near future which will give it a completely different turn.

taking away the potion's advantages
It was not a advantage, it was simply a bug.

Yes, I meant monsters and it would be nice to go with a group, probably more realistic on German time then Canada/US however. I understood the Druid system may be as much as a year off, am I mistaken? If the Druid system is to be in game soon, or even later, why make health potions at all?

I was pointing out:
1. there is no difference now between the large and small potion and would suggest change one.
2. there is no need to buy any potion, making an item in the game almost unneeded just decreases money spent.
3. It would have been nice to "test" out monsters with the backup of a potion, not necessary since it can be done other ways.
It was not a advantage, it was simply a bug.
So originally small and large potions were suppose to be identical?

From what I know yes.
Except the fact that small potions are not as strong as big ones

Why is one able to drink antidotes whilst fighting?

The system currently, as it is, rings ~inequality~

Because poison is so amazingly overpowered?

Could be done with the next reload if you want. Question is: Does poison work corretly or it is also bugged, so that it would better to wait?

Last time I checked, if you were poisoned by a giant spider, in 10 seconds or so you'd be dead.

In fact, if you have a mage with you, you're much more likely to survive if he heals you then if you chug antidote after antidote.

Don't know whether this was changed or not.

If you fight against someone with a good poisoend dagger, you have no chance to survive.

In my eyes posion is way too strong

I won't fight poison spiders anymore agreeing it is too powerful, or antidotes too weak.

Erm, I've done it and seen it done. It's all about luck. But you are right.

While we're here, how about an LTE "poision immune" which prevents poisoning for a while?

Poison works perfectly as it is, you all just want to make things too easy on yourselves. Lol.

Whats the point in lowering the effects of poison? You have to work to become good at poisening like everything else, my point was about the drinking a bottle of antidote whilst fighting, seems unrealistic, like drinking a bottle for healing while fighting.

If you dont want to get poisoned, then dont fight against those who wield it.
Simple.

No. It's enough if you have a good poisoned dagger..
