Help: Unable to launch application

Not played for about 12 months...this is the message i get when i try to load the application.....please note i am a technical idiot. Thankyou for your help.

It looks like the installation of the client failed badly. I fear your only chance it to remove the client and install it again.

You can remove the client this way:

Start->Run (Or Windowskey-R)
Type in there "javaws -viewer" and press Run

In the shown window you should be able to remove the Illarion client by right clicking it and choose remove.

just wiped java and the client from my PC, re-downloaded Java from the link on illarion homepage, re-downloaded illarion client ...same problem/error message.


when i downloaded the client, it didnt ask me to accept the security thingy, nor did it ask me for a folder....is that right?

No its not. You really have to delete the client from the Java Cache. Also it could help if you clear the cache of the browser you use to download the jnpl file.

i cleared out the old java "approved" security certificates...that has worked!!!.....thanks for the pointers!

I am unable to download the client. it gets halfway through and stalls, refuses to go any further and is making me very angrified. Either I'm retarded or . . no, i'm pretty sure it's me. plz hlp

Did you try waiting a few minutes after it stalls? I think it should continue after a little while.

It usually stalls for some time, if you just wait some time, it should got further. For me it once stalled already for 10min.

it's been three hours...



must have been my super slow connection, after 4 and a half hours and a lot of nail biting it finally finished. yay!
