A bright flame erupts outside the gate of Trolls Bane where a battle was fought recently. Out walks two elves one of great hight and the other of medium.They are garbed in long black cloaks as they walk through the fog. One puts down his hood and his long black hair reaching almost to his waist flows threw the air his face covered with scars and his bright blue eyes piercing through the night.The other one downs his hood and takes his dagger from his belt,cuts his black hair off to the length of his shoulder and throws it into the flame.As he does it turns a dark blue. As they walk to the gate the one of long hair stops and throws a scroll sealed with black wax into the flames.The parchment erupts forming letters in the air and imprinting them upon the gate in a deep gold color. The short elf quickly looks to the taller one, nods and hurries back into the flame the other right behind him.As soon as they are threw a brilliant gold flash erupts and the flame dissappears, them along with it. At the exact same moment a blinding light from the door dies and the golden letters are glowing brightly and they spell out:......

In preperation of the upcomming war another Knighthood will be formed in the order of protecting the people. We are a truely honorable cause to be called the Order of the Midnight Flame as in a torch of hope being lit at the strike of midnight. If you wish to help the people and make the island a better place please join us.We are a neutral power in our knighthood we will be teaching classes in a school run by one of our dear friends if he choses to.We will be teaching: Religion,Tactics,Blacksmithing,Carpentry,Swordsplay,Archery,And possibly Tailoring,Fine smithing,Glassblowing,Gemcutting,Daggerplay, and Martial arts. We will also be featuring a large library filled with books on every subject.We need swordsmen,Archers,carpenters,cooks,scholors, Black Smiths, Tailors, Goldsmiths, Druids and medicos, and people of any other craft I may have left out including other fighting styles.

A) What war?

B) A knighthood doesn't teach blacksmithing or carpentry as the duties of a knight. I am not saying that a knight can't learn it, but it isn't part of a knighthood.

C) A name does not make you honorable or dishonorable. A name is just a name, it is how it is portrayed in the eyes of the people that make the name. You could call yourselves the Lovers of Sirani for all the isle cares, but the people of the isle won't believe you until they see it.

D) There are already three knighthoods upon the isle, there is no need for a fourth. In fact I barely see the need for more than two as one knighthood of the three speaks the old language, and the other two are mostly in the new language.

E) Our doors are always open to new members and perhaps it may be better to earn a reputation upon the isle prior to going out there and creating a knighthood. I have found that on this isle that you can call yourself what ever you want, but people will spit on your feet if they choose to disagree.

I could not agree more with you.But the people know that Gobiath is on the verge of war. Now we are not the run of the mill knighthood eaither we hope perhaps to have a settlement one day as well.

Ahh Artimer it is not division I seek but to the fact that I would like everyone to come togather dispite there diferences. That is why I also offer classes to show that we are not just about fighting but peace and knowledge as well.That is why the school will be open to the public except for a few military classes.

Ahh, now we see the establishment rise to defend what it perceives as its territory as the only ones who are allowed to be just and honorable.

perhaps if the knighthoods looked inward as to why people might believe a new knighthood is needed they could remove such elements and the people would not feel disenfranchised by the entrenchted powers that slowly have grown corrupt.

Now i will not just point to the knights as there is another group that has also fallen into the trap of jealously guarding what it thinks it is owed butthose that are involved know who you are...

It isn't jealousy, and if the citizens find fault they are more than welcomed to send a dove to point it out. It is more of why do we need four knighthoods on such a small isle? I can't and won't stop these two unknown fellows from creating a new one, but is it really needed?

And someone please explain to me what "war" they are talking about!

we arent starting a war with anyone for we are neutral but the orcs and dwarves ,from what i've heard around trolsbane,silverbrand,varshikar and in the orc haven in the mountains, their is indeed going to be a war!

Maeglin your statements are not quite correct.The orcs and Dwarves are not a potentioal threat at the time though tension is growing between them daily. Only time will show if the wars will occur or be avoided entirely.I do not feel like worrying people with other wars for now so I will not disclose this information.

Dwarves will do what they always do, first they declare war, than they hide in their city, than after a few months they crawl out again, declaring that they never had the intention of waging war, but I doubt that the dwarves actually care for orcs, as they aren't even near to each other.

First of all, your information on any war is false. There will not be a war between any orc settlement or any dwarf settlement. It would be a personal dispute, of which you are not involved in. There is no need for this knighthood to be made for a war, especially since there are already a few knighthoods on the island. Second, a knighthood is not a mercenary band or a group or guardians of those who have broken the laws, as those would be bandits, which you have already opened your doors to once, and then say they can't be bandits but act as regular people, and now you want to be knights. Moreso, why would you be teaching others trades when you feel a war is near? Wouldn't it be wise to train instead of make trinkets?

Just throwing this out there, but if noone knows that there is going to be a war, then doesnt that mean that there won't be a war? If noone is aware that a war is going to break out, then how can the war be started in the first place?
