Drawbridges

well i was wondering about one of my favorite things in mid evil times.. Drawbridge doors.. and even actual dual sided bridges.. they'd obviously work like doors but perhaps with a verbal phrase like say " lower the bridge please" or what not maby just work like the doors with a use function..
also would open the way for toll bridges for those who can afford to have one built this means convenient travel for those who can afford the tolls and a lil money for those who own the bridges naturally it'd need to be owned by a guild ot town.. just an idea..
suggestions ideas? shoot it down??

I like the idea but that could really ruin peoples line of work. Say trollsbane made the gate going twords the copper mine a toll bridge how would everybody get there metals easily.(Just an example)

This has already been proposed. There is even a graphic made for it. I believe the it will be implemented if the devs ever want to.

I thought you had a 'Magical' Gate which blends into the side of the castle? By sayng the 'secret' word, visitors open it?
Not the same really. It's a 'concealment' in the map editor, not a true 'Bridge' that you raise and lower manually.
Korm made a graphic for it, but it was rejected for some reason. Ask him.

Oh, a "scripted" Drawbridge! Nice.....I think I'll take my "Scripted" Battering Ram and knock it down! Then take my "scripted" Steel Boot and kick your arse!
I think the proposal was for something "Real".
Mages!......

a "real" one? ... you know illarion is a game, do you?
it is a bridge witch lost the needed parts to cross them if you activate the script
ig you draw a lever and the bridge is draw up by chains
if you need for everything a extra graphic, illarion (and all other RPGs) are the wrong place for you.

Then why have Graphics at all? Go play "Zork" or some other "Text-Based" game if you like.
Personally. the Graphics provide the "Setting" and Realism needed to support Role-play. Everything doesn't "Need" an extra Graphic, but that's what "Proposals" are for....to offer ideas for making the game better.
