The Journey Into Darkness

Valric's metal shoes crunch audibly on the small rocks beneath his feet. Looking to his left at the tomb bearing his name, he can't help but smile a little..
At a height of roughly five feet, Valric is a tall, and sturdily built dwarf. His hair is wild and black, and his eyes glow like molten copper over the roaring fires of the forge. He is dressed in heavy plate armor, but to him, it is as light and comfortable as a second skin, albeit a skin made of 1'' thick armor plating.
It has been said, "The dwarves are a race crafted for war." regardless of the accuracy of this statement, Valric is very much at home in battle.
His steps carry him forward, closer to the tombs entrance. He stops and takes a moment to trace his armored fingers along the scratches in the grave markers surface before descending into the darkness below..
"Hmmph", He grunts as his foot meets the ground, stepping back from the ladder, he notices, to his dismay, that the tomb is thick with fog.
He sighs, "Nothin's ever easy."
