Accountsystem Update

In den kommenden Tagen steht ein größeres Update es Account Verwaltungssystems auf dem Programm. Dieses Update umfasst ein vollständig neu geschriebenes Accountsystem, welches sich von dem alten Accountsystem natürlich etwas unterscheidet.
Eine Sache die sich ändern sind zum Beispiel die Bearbeitung des Alters eines Charakters. Das Accountsystem speichert jetzt nicht mehr das einfache Alter eines Charakters sondern einen Geburtstag. Charaktere die diesen Geburtstag noch nicht haben (also alle außer Meinen), werden vom System automatisch erkannt und bevor man die Detailsseite des Charakters aufrufen kann, muss man diesen Wert noch angeben.
Desweiteren löst das neue Accountsystem das Problem das neue Charakterbilder nicht sofort angezeigt wurden, da sie im Cache der Browser lagen und nicht neu heruntergeladen wurden. Dazu kommt das es in Zukunft auch nicht mehr möglich sein wird die ID des Charakters über den Namen des Charakterbildes herauszufinden.
Außerdem wurden die Beschreibungen der Charaktere die bis jetzt in der Datenbank des Spielservers lagen auf die Datenbank der Homepage umgelegt. Der Sinn dahinter besteht darin, dass die Datenbank des Spielservers weniger belastet wird.
Mit den Änderungen an der Verwaltung der Charakterbilder, der Beschreibung und der Geschichte der Charaktere ist eine vollständige Löschung aller Charakterprofile, einschlieslich der Bilder der Charaktere unumgänglich. Daher möchte ich alle, die an ihren Profilen hängen bitten dass sie alle Daten auf ihren lokalen Rechnern Zwischenspeichern und im neuen Accountsystem neu eintragen. Es gibt leider keine andere Möglichkeit da ein automatisches Verschieben der Daten durch die Unterschiedlichen Datenbank Typen nicht möglich ist.
Dazu kommt, das einige Charakterprofile falsch kodierte Sonderzeichen in ihrem Text haben (sehen in den meisten Browsern aus wie schwarze Fragezeichen auf weißem Grund) die dadurch ja gleich mit aus den Texten genommen werden können.
Ich kann noch nicht sagen wann genau das Update durchgeführt wird. Aber es schadet ja nicht seine Daten etwas eher zu retten.

In the next days there will be a major update of the Accountsystem. This update contains a fully rewriten Accountsystem, that of cause has some differences to the old one.
One new thing for example is the handling of the age of the character. The accountsystem doesn't store the age of a character anymore it rather stores a birthday date. Characters who do not have this informations (so currently all but mine) are automatically detected and the system will ask you to add this value.
Also the new accountsystem will solve the problem that character pictures aren't shown instandly after it got updates, because the browsers store the old picture in the cache. Furthermore it won't be possible in future to find out the ID of the character by the name of the picture.
Also the descriptions of the characters get moved from the gameserver database to the homepage database in order to decrease the load on the gameserver database.
Due the changings of the handling of the pictures, the description and the story of the characters a full wipe of the character profiles is needed. Also all pictures will be deleted. For this reason I ask everyone who likes to keep his or her profile to store it locally in order to upload it after the update once again. Sadly there is no other way to do this. Moving the data is not possible due the completly different types of database.
Also currently there are some character profiles that contain false encoded characters (mostly shown by black questionmarks on white ground). Those will be removed by uploading the texts again.
I can't say for sure when this update will take place. But it can't hurt to save the data a little earlier.
