The hash button

Whenever I go on Illa, I can't type #, but instead it comes out as \ - any help?
for windows XP just click on the button in the right bottom corner.

on the US keyboard the \ is located at the # place. Check your keyboard settings.

Sometimes this happens to me after alt tabbing and I just use shift+3 instead.
