Hello All,

I have returned to the game after a few months and am trying to re-establish the Gnomish community in Varshikar. I have had a little interest since my return which is good but I fear more are needed. The new idea is just to make a community, nothing more or less. A place to trade, rp, live and work. The reason that I am trying to make this work is that the few Gnome's I have rp'd with before all have quite elaborate stories and in a group the rp and fun could be brilliant. We can rp all manner of scenarios, philosophise, work together and make a new point of interest for illarion. In time my hope is that there will be a few more Gnomes IG specifically because of the community. I should also point out that the community will still be in Varshikar and we still have use of a house with cellar there where we are free to live as we wish and extend as long as we do not conflict with Varshikar law.

Please post your thoughts and let me know what you think or if you may like to help as a Gnome or as another race IG.

Any players wishing to play a Gnome but have no idea where to start with background story and player interaction etc just send me a dove and I'd be happy to help.

I'm still around, though not much IG with my char. But this could change with a revived Gnomish Community in Varshikar.

Julius already said he'd invest his pocket into any enterprise/community the Gnomes tried to build.

As a player of a gnome character I would join this community in a heartbeat. Though I find that RL is sucking up most of my Illarion time at the moment, I would still like to help in anyway that I can with my gnome character in game.

Due to lack of time on may part and a lack of interest I am afraid that I cannot continue to promote or establish this guild. I would like to see a few more Gnomes IG though and am happy that at least some interest has been shown. Thankyou to everyone who has supported this idea and offered your help. I hope another can pick-up where I left off and fight for Gnomish freedom across the land!!!!

Sorry to hear that Dearbert. As a player of a Gnome, I wish there were more, but I understand about time. I haven't had time to play my own.

I personally found that the 'description' of Gnomes is hard to fulfill IG because there is no support for 'machines and contraptions' yet. There are no good "Gnome" examples yet. It is hard to play a Gnome properly IG.

Take consolation though, IG, Goldburg has a Gnome as an engineer in it's employ, which seems to be working and will build a Gnomish workshop with plans to advance all manner of contraption and convenience. His job right now is mostly RP and PM's, but I hope to change that as things get 'created'.

Maybe someday, we may even fly?

If any Gnomes are IG, perhaps they may find a home with their Dwarven cousins at Goldburg when we have this Workshop constructed.
