Squaring the Circle!

*The night is dark, moonless, the stars are veiled by thick clouds. A slight woman walks gingerly towards the well on the main Bane’s plaza. She fumbles a bit to find the brink. She then unrolls a parchment and pins it to the post that supports the well roof. : «Hmmm, it’s never too late… »
The parchment reads…*

Many people, men and women alike, haved showed sympathy and support for our endeavor. We thank them sincerely.
Indeed, we wish to contribute to the advancement and the enlightenment of the Gobiath community with our skills, knowledge and the unwavering belief that all sentient beings are created equal and that they yearn for happiness.
Our goals are very simple and down to earth… We want to be treated fairly and respectfully and… have fun. He, he!

Of course, we are conscious that we stirred a controversy. Some people, even women, think that women should stay in their kitchen and raise children. We agree with that, as long it is their own choice.
We think that women can be whatever they choose to be, mother or warrior, cook or miner… or all that at the same time!
Unhappily, a few men, well known misfits, defamed us, discharging their contempt of women in flows of venomous words or even, hmmm… Well, tough luck, buddy boys! We are patient and strong enough to withstand even your hatred and humors (wink)!

For all women interested, we hold our meeting on Sundays ((gathering around 12 PM UTC, in Bane’s main plaza, near the fire))

PS : We plan to have our announcements translated so we could join up with women of the alte Sprache too. Willkommen!

He, he!

Willkommen!

Leva Beliu walks towards the well in Bane’s main plaza. She is curious to see if anybody added commentaries tor her parchment. She hopes that it wasn’t micturated like the preceeding one. Some people are so vulgar! To her surprise, she discovers that another parchment is attached to the post, a translation written in the old language.
« Hey, what a nice surprise… »
She deciphers the writing without too much difficulty, as the translation seems quite correct.
« Who is our benefactor? »
She glances at the signature and starts!
« Not him, by the rotten blood of Moshran, not him…! »
She rips off the parchment and lifts her arm to throw it down the well…
« Hmmm, well, maybe, I should leave it posted. After all, it is a usefull translation, event if I loathe the man… »
She then smiles, thinking of the old saying in the southern dialect she learned when still a young girl: Traduttore, traditore.
« Yes, of course, translator, traitor…! Act like a friend, smile like a friend, but a traitor all the same! »
She then adds a few roughly scribbled lines, with a charcoal stick, after the man’s signature…

« Vielen Dank, Faladron!
We know how much you like women! We are not surprised that you found a way to poke your big nose in our business. But thanks, no, thanks, we don’t need your linguistic talents. We have our own resources in the matter. If you can read properly, there is the word « woman » in the Free Women Circle. You might be a wimp, but you are not a woman. The first letter is not enough!
Capisce?

This behaviour all but confirms my suspicions about the group.
