What does a rasp do? I was asked about it, and now it really makes me wonder what it is. Is it a nail file? A odd hair piece? A tool of some sort?
Please, some one tell me.

Did you try it with your nails :P

Well, it HAS a use, but somehow I couldn't get it working on the TS, it seems to be broken. *shrugs*

My tip: FOIG

How are you meant to find out if they are broken? They look like files.. but there are no jail bars in illarion...

We have tried, but no one seems to know what it is for.
The whole FOIG thing works except when no one really understands -what- it is.

They have many uses. Rasps aren't "nail" files, more just like files thought coarser, usually used for woodworking but can be used for other purposes.

I don't know if it is broken for sure. Perhaps someone completely erased the db entry (which links a script to an item). Dunno.
Anyway, I do not know if I am to tell something about it.

/Edit: The German name for that item is "Feile" (=file). Perhaps it was just a mistake to name them "rasps" in the English version. However "file" fits better concerning its use...

Rasp is still fitting, I guess. I don't think its a real important change.

Actually I don't really know the difference. Rasps for rough work and files for fine work?

Yea, rasps usually have higher, more raised and pronounced teeth as opposed to files.
