Greetings, Illarionites!!!
After the Big Switcharoo, we are STILL here...
This is our NEW guild board, since... it seems... the old ones, when switched, look pretty wierd with the thingie next to the title. (You know... that little saying thingie... yeah, thats it) :)

So, all things related to SilverStar are now going to be discussed on THIS board!!!

And special thanks to Mishrack, who is translating the english version of the website for us!

Our website is on SilverStar personnel signatures.

Yours,
Erdrick

Ehh, I am afraid that I will have to remain abstain in the voting, because the dwarf in me would want a basement, regardless of how useful it would be or not.. :D

But Vote! Vote! Vote!
People of troll's bane, opinions!

Greetings

Hey, everyone! PLEASE vote! This is a very important poll which may shape our next version of Illarion. Imagine strolling through a beautiful apple orchard, relaxing at an inn, or marveling at a taller, wider Silverstar building. Or, for Silverstar crew, your own cellar, complete with wine barrels, gem grinder, and ovens.

Thanks in advance!
Yours,
Erdrick

I got it from the local haberdasher of course! I've always been a lover of fine hats :D. Does anyone else think the laughing emoticon looks like it has an itchy nose? Anyway I think you should make a basement... we could have secret meetings! I can see it now... "Alright everyone! Meetings at 9:00 in Erdricks basement! I leave you with one final question since I already jumped around so much in this post. Who invented soup?

I always wondered what a haberdasher was...
And... Good question. I believe ancient tribes invented soup...
Also, the emoticon of laughing looks like he has a serious twiching problem with his top lip.

To poll voters... You disappoint me! I had big dreams of a heavenly apple orchard... and now, a useless inn... *sigh* :(
Ah well, keep them votes coming!

Um.... i may just be being stupid for asking but would an inn be like the bar across the river? I just thought that an inn would have beds, and i havnt seen any beds.... excepts coffins but those dont count. so i was only wondering what do you mean by an inn?

For the inn, we would need the graphic for beds to be made. In the inn, would be tables, and chairs, and rooms, and perhaps a small bar. But it would be a little redundant as of now, since there isn't any beds. The purpose of it now would be to rest and relax, and to share stories. We would need a little bit bigger population for this, too. Also, maybe in the future, you can rest and regain health and mana power. (?)
It is your decison, y'all. The inn is of greater use to you in the future, while the others may help in the *near* future. Such as next version.

Also, to the owners of the Fluffy Sheep Bar: That would include Ghostwalker or Damien or Aries, or someone...
I need to speak with you ASAP.
And I will not accept any conversation to those POSERS who claim that they own it!

The Store

A herold delivers a small piece of paper:

"Dear Silver Star Merchants,
today I met an elf named Willielm. He said, that he rented the store for 1000 gold, and now he runs the store together with a friend called Piepen. I don´t believe him, as I told him so, he ran away. I think he´s a lier and uses your good reputation to betray the citizens of Troll´s Bane.

Sincerly yours
Belegi Zahar"

Yeah, people sure have a lot of nerve when it comes to... *ahem* taking over our shop...
Once, they were planning on bulldozing it...
Another time, some people were selling it to some little organization that wanted a town hall...

To all:
Try something like that, and you will pay most dearly.
I prefer payment in silver, but blood may also compensate...

Those two people are liars. They have been slain once already for blasphemy but I guess some dark force brought them back again. Another divine intervention may fall upon them if they step out of line again...

If people only knew... erhm, how about that bar...

i suppose if you get a inn, it underpopulate the bar. Although the bar hasnt been used in so long. But besides ... we can always use the roof for sleep :) .

 and also, i would like to complement this new board _OOC_

*Bump* :D

Keep on voting! I know we have more than...
(one... two... ten... ...)
22 people in the Illarion community!
Your votes DO have an influence on how we spend the silver!

Well, yeah, but since this has to do with how the guild is going to spend it's money, I didn't think you wanted the votes for non guild members.

Please excuse my ignorance but where is the guildhouse? I'm not a member of your guild but just thought I'd ask.

It's the small building at the end of the alley between the library and the workshop.

You don't need an inn, there already is one, and not many people use it! Keep adding extra floors to make a really cool tower  , but thats just my opinion.

@Dyluck: Not that small... bigger than your guildhouse :P

Thanks to voters and sorry to those who didn't get a response from me personally.

well, how much would a new building cost? i want to know so the Bargen Masters may have one.i jsut need a basic range 60k-100k silver?
is there a price list for these items somewere???

Posted: Wed Nov 13, 2002 6:01 pm
by Mishrack
err... drogla... how could you possibly ammass 100,000 silver ingots?

Posted: Wed Nov 13, 2002 10:32 pm
by Drogla
there is an entire guild to mass that amount, but i have no clue of the costs, that is why i am asking, but still, no one has even given me a range!

Posted: Thu Nov 14, 2002 8:14 am
by Caranthir the great
Drogla, I'd roughly estimate that the price would be somewhere around 1000 silvers.
But even thinking that your "entire guild" could amass 100'000 silvers is foolishness.
Good luck in your attemp.

PS.
How may people you planned to recruit in order to archieve 100'000?
100?
1000?
More?
If someone has 1000 ignots, I think that regardless of the race or gender of the person, he/she would be most unwilling to give the sum for you.
As my personal experience and observation of other guilds has showed me, the most of guild funds are collected by a group consisting 1-6 persons*1.
The donations of the others, unless extremely many others or well organised ones, are unimportant when looking at the whole picture.

Sicerely yours
Caranthir the Great
