A Call to all Medicos

All who have received training in healing, please sign your name below or send me word with a dove. There is a war about to break around our ears. All who are willing to help will be needed.
If you wish to volunteer, but have not received training, please send me word. I hope there is still time to teach the basics.

But Fianna, my dear friend, in a time where people 'choose' the war, why should the druids take care of them?
If the wish to kill each other, then they should kill each other.
But I offer my help to the innocent victims of these cruel happenings.

Merung,
Violent people will always choose war. For myself, I choose to remain neutral, as always. I will help those in need on both sides of the conflict, innocent or not. It is not my place to judge the content of their hearts, but to ease their suffering.

I am no 'trained' healer and, in fact, most of the healing art is beyond my knowledge. I do however posess some experience in treating combat wounds, which might be of use. Therefore, should the need arise, I would try to provide help to the people of Troll's Bane as some of them welcomed me on the island and offered me their friendship. I would also help gravely injured soldiers as I do not wish any life to end too soon.
Still, I also do not wish to take part in this conflict. I would hesitate treating those who are in no danger and would grip a sword again as soon as they are able, to cause even more harm. I don't know if it would be easier to see someone suffer and do nothing or to do something and see others suffer then because of my act.

Khagmur,
I hope you will assist where you are able. If you are qualified and choose to help the most severely injured, I accept that help.
Dellakin, thanks for volunteering. Same to Magnus and Merung, though I had no doubts.

I thank all who volunteered. Even though the war seems to have been avoided, I will still train you in basic first aid if you wish to learn. A few more skilled hands would be a very big help. Send me word by dove or look for me in town for a lesson and a medico kit.

To better organize the basic first aid training, I will offer a scheduled class for all interested. For now the class will be held weekly. (( Wednesdays 9PM US eastern time, GMT-5 ... I think )). Anyone not able to attend at that time but still wanting a lesson please send me a dove or leave me a note here. I'll try my best to accomodate everyone interested.
The meeting place will initially be the hospital in Troll's Bane and I will post an announcement here right before the lessons are starting.

When there is another lesson, please tell me. I'd be very interested in learning healing, especially if I plan to get my revenge on those hornets someday.

Achae walks by the board and sighing having missed a lot of posts as she lays her bow down to read some more closely. Smiling recognizing one she whispers "Fianna, my former student" as her eyes light up then with a quick movement of her hand takes out parchment and pen writing the time and date down "I hope I will be able to go" tucking it in her bag before leaving for the forests again.

She walks away from the board mumbling "I hope she is alright"

A slightly yellowed parchment with some passages now unreadable due to the fading of the ink seems to have been moved from a different location and pinned prominently on the town board.
It has recently come to my attention that people calling themselves medicos are treating patients at the Druid's hospital in Trollsbane. While we appreciate the assistance, the druids will require all medicos trained beyond the shores of Gobaith and outside the circle of the Druids of the Forest to present their qualifications and submit to a test of their skills and knowledge in order to be formally registered as medicos before they may continue to treat patients in our facility.
This is not an attempt to limit care to the sick and injured of Gobaith, but to assure the quality of care provided in our hospital. I hope the foreign trained and informally trained medicos will come forward in the light of day and register themselves, either by sending me a dove or signing their intention on this parchment, so that a standard of care can be established.

~ A second copy of the above note is pinned on the outside of the hospital in Trollsbane in a very conspicuous spot with a second parchment below it that remains empty, perhaps as a placeholder for something. ~

I would hope that given my service to healing the wounded i would be exempt from such, but if this is not the case then please allow me to publically withdraw my medical services from trollsbane officially.

Olive,
I'm sorry to lose your services. I have faith that Ushara will guide you in the right path. If your calling to assist the sick and injured is strong, perhaps you will change your mind one day. Our doors are always open.

Grakir can heal, and might do so for a price...However, Grakir refuses to commit himself to any warring faction, and will heal as he sees fit to whichever 'side' of this war.
