Also would some one kindly show me where to find somewhere to work wool as I'm learning my craft in game (tailor)

You can get wool from sheep, which are found in a bunch of places, but the easiest spot is the area just west of trollsbane (not over the bridge). I think the only way you can get wool is by killing them though.

Nope, don't kill the poor creatures. Just use a scissor on the sheep

also its north of trollsbane, nothing to the west except forest

thanks for that info now I'm stuck at the tailors desk every time i sit down with some scissors a needle some thread and some white cloth it just says you can not work here... anybody know why?

The tailors desk is only one field long although it looks like two or three fields. Are you sure you stand exactly on the same field as the chair? If not, you are not standing in front of it.

ok I got it figged out now...all I got to do is make more thread (I have 10 usually kept in my belt but it always says i need thread for a product)

you usually only need 2-4 spools of thread for most items, but you can't do much with white or grey cloth(you used to be able to sell grey cloth to an npc that sold other colors its how I got started) and when you first start as a tailor you can't make anything from white or grey cloth

if you ever see a Lizard named Ichus near the workshop ask him about tailoring he can help get you some tools and teach you to make dye and dye cloth

Thank you that would be kind of you. I have an idea of where the npc is that sells the coloured cloth..although I know she doesn't buy un-dyed stuff.
