Danke euch
Rincewind

//////////// ---- I hope this post don't sound agressiv-----

Hello everybody.

Please don't ask especially for a "#i", because Chars who don't make it by self have a reason for it.
Name the person "manual".

Thank's
Rincewind

Its reasonable to ask for an #i

Some people geniunely forget sometimes.

If they request and you don't want to give them an #i just say "No Sorry" and all is well.

Jupiter (4x beraubt) sagt: Ihr schon wieder!

@ Nalzaxx: name Persons manual. with some self createt names. To remember.
If your Char forgett a Name you can also ask InGame.

I expect people to do that for me. If they don't, well they will have to Roleplay forgetting my name. #i requests from me might be granted (rare), Ignored (common if it remains OOC) or met with roleplaying ranging from amusement to anger, depending on what kind of a mood my character might be in.

How would you feel if you tell someone your name and they insist "That can't be your name, tell me your REAL name"

Out of game, I'd do just about anything, from laugh to get angry.

... They might just think you forgot to #i, stop going on a witchhunt.

Nobody can be forced to introduce himself.
It's the PO's own decision.
Therefore everybody has the possibility to name the char who wants to be incognito.

Perhaps, usually though you don't see more then 1 request for #i when that happens, and it's almost always OOC. That falls into what I said I do.

So, It's my witchhunt and I'll burn if I want to!

Whats the problem about telling them #o no sorry...

I really dont get the issue.

because then people know ooc that they use a fake name when they have to go "no sorry"

Or just a prick. Suppose you could just go, "No [insert derogatory term here], name me yourself you lazy arse"; then they'd just think you were an idiot :P .

If they ask for #i, tell them #o no sorry like Daelyn said.

If they mix OOC and start suspecting your char or something, teach them that they shouldn't.

If they still don't listen, report the situation.

People learn with mistakes.

From a my char, who is at the guards and never uses the name shown on the onlinelist-description
I can say that nearly noone suspects someone who behaves friendly, if there is no #i at intruducing.

I don't see what's wrong with asking for a #i after a moment after an introduction, you never know who is a newbie and who just forgot. Also, let's not forget that switching computers loses your #i list. Asking twice is too much. Let the other player choose.

I have had to teach newbies how to #i.

I've also had longtime friends who's computer crashed, go around asking for #i's.

Just RP through it. If someone wants to stay incognito, they don't have to say nothing, just keep RP'ing. I always attach names to people like that or even people I hear talking from a distance. I've named more people than I met just from listening to conversations. I love the look on their face, when I talk to them and they don't know who I am. The OOC starts, but I ignore it and RP as if they have forgotten. Hehe.

I don't see any problem here.

and, as i can attest to, some people will not start of knowing how to manually name somebody so they might ask about #i as they simply do not know, its not always beign rude or such...
